What you will be doing


As a Pricing Data Services Operations, Platform Engineer Senior, you will:

  • Establish, maintain, and increase client satisfaction through professional, courteous, and caring service.

  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Know when to redirect problems and create support tickets with other FIS departments or vendors as required.

  • Use third party tools as required to complete daily tasks.

  • Resolve technical problems, detect patterns of issues, and coordinate with application staff regarding persistent problems.

  • Assist other Technical Support Specialists within the group in troubleshooting difficult or time-sensitive problems.

  • Establish, maintain and monitor system alerts and, as necessary, coordinate further action.

  • Maintain your knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies

  • Contribute to company vision and direction by helping improve technical practices, as well as choosing key technologies and issues to address as we grow.

  • Work closely with multiple teams within the within the organization; i.e. development, data center operations and client services.

  • Assist in technical projects and technical enhancements as required.

What you bring:


  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience

  • Background in the Financial Industry a plus

  • Must be detail oriented, responsible, self-motivated and goal centered

  • Ability to positively represent product groups technical environment needs with other departments and vendors via strong communication skills

  • Must have proven experience working within enterprise architectures

  • Possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices

  • Change Management

  • Incident Management

  • Business Continuity Practices (DR)

Technical Skills

Must have experience in:

  • In depth Windows Server knowledge from 2008 to 2016, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS

  • Hands on experience with automation tools and automating business processes

  • Experience writing PowerShell scripts

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, etc.

  • Experience in supporting MS SQL Server

Bonus if you have:

  • Microsoft Certification MSCE/MCSA or MTA

  • Experience supporting Team Foundation Server (TFS)

  • Good understanding of enterprise security practices

  • If you have hands on experience with any of the following: Thousand Eyes, BigFix, Serv-U SFTP, SolarWinds, Redgate.

  • Experience in supporting disaster recovery tests and related documentation

  • Support experience interfacing with various third-party support teams for managing changes and getting hardware and tools support

  • Documentation experience in creating standard operating procedures
