The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
This plant operator will report to the Plant Manager at Center Township, Pa.
They will be responsible for commissioning, maintenance, testing, and operation of a biodigester facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in plant construction and commissioning, responsible for representing the Operations Team relative to safety, reliability, and operability
Perform quality control checks for supplies, equipment, instrumentation, and incoming shipments for new and existing facilities
Represent Air Liquide as onsite HSES presence primarily focused on safety and environmental aspects while monitoring contractor onsite activity
Read technical diagrams and blueprints to verify installation and operation.
Responsible for daily maintenance and operations of Air Liquide Biogas facility
Maintain gas collection system to safely and cost-effectively maximize both the quantity and quality of biogas for processing
Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks as required including equipment calibrations, equipment PM, control system loop checks, and electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting
Validate Systems installation in accordance with approved drawings, technical documentation, and best practices
Complete maintenance logs consistent with facility operating plan
Plan utilization of production facilities to improve efficiency of operations
Maintain facility materials and spare parts inventory
Ability to work well with others; Interface with landfill (biogas source) operating team to support good relations and coordinate efforts
Make suggestions to improve plant safety, operational efficiency and/or product quality
Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures for plant personnel, visitors, and contractors
Install, maintain, repair or replace small gauge electrical wiring to include control wiring
Assist Plant commissioning team with plant start up, operation of the plant equipment, and systems
Perform general electrical maintenance
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices

Are you a MATCH?
Required
High school diploma or GED
Strong command of English language, verbal and written
5+ years of related industrial operations experience with strong mechanical aptitude(chemical/gas processing, production plant operations)
Ability and willingness to be on-call, and work holidays and weekends, as required
Exhibits knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, machine repair and operation
Capable of gaining understanding of governmental regulations including environmental permitting/compliance, plant start up/ commissioning, loading /quality assurance, basic electricity, national/local operating procedures, CMMS, maintenance management process, all HSE issues associated with the facility
Ability to work with limited supervision
Preferred
7+ years of chemical/gas processing, production plant operations
Work experience as lead or senior technician, with demonstrated ability to work autonomously
Mechanical/ electrical field experience
Associates Degree in a technical field or technical training
Military technical training and/or experience
Working Conditions
Loud , noisy process building
C1D2 environment; Ignitable concentrations of hazards exist under abnormal operation conditions
The ability to lift 1-50 pounds regularly.
The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in restricted spaces.
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
The ability to safely climb unimproved terrain and hills while carrying 20 pounds of equipment and tools
Job Grade: Hourly-07
The hourly rate range for this position in "PA" is $26.00 to $32.00
