Senior Plant Accountant - Automotive

A global Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Plant Accountant for their Greensboro, NC facility. This pivotal role reports directly to the Plant Controller and is responsible for overseeing the plant's general accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash activities, forecast cash balances, and prepare bank reconciliations
• Track and report on capital expenditures
• Prepare and enter journal vouchers
• Maintain prepaid and accrued balances
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
• Coordinate monthly related party transactions
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements
• Manage annual audit processes and tax package preparation
• Conduct BOM standard cost roll-ups
• Handle vendor management and 1099 filings
• File monthly sales and use tax returns
• Prepare annual reports, including property tax and BEA filings
• Liaise with external auditors
• Implement and maintain 5S principles in the accounting department

Qualifications and Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of plant accounting experience
• At least 2 years of manufacturing industry experience
• Proficiency in cost accounting, including bill of materials, inventory analysis, and variance analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
