Overview

Management of the planning team (Planners & Master Schedulers). The Planning Mgr. will be responsible for analysis and planning of production and driving kitted products to the Assembly lines per the established plan. The selected individual will have strong and positive leadership skills and the ability to train and develop people. Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to use organizational agility to accomplish the goals of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, plan and manage plans for all product lines; ensuring that all customer deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Escalate to Mgmt on High impact items.

  • Performs capacity planning, effective deployment, monitors production activity and reports on all job completion metrics

  • Manage the Master plan for the assigned lines

  • Summarize the weekly production plan based on Mtrl visibility, production capacity and targets established

  • Supporting the Planning team members for cross functional activities pertaining to meeting the weekly production plan and OTD

  • Manage Strategic Inventory levels for Key Accounts customer parts

  • Serve as a factory subject matter expert (SME) for ERP production planning, scheduling and Inventory Control modules

  • Responsible for Master Data accuracy in ERP and validated periodically based on actual performance

  • Data analysis and reporting of key performance indicators

  • Drives continuous process improvement, strives to improve efficiency, likely to challenge processes where favorable alternatives may be available

  • Identification and resolution of Constraints in meeting the production plan established - Capacity, Resource & Material

  • Support Sales, Inventory & Operation Planning (SIOP) from data management and driving various functions to the established schedule

  • Any other duties as directed and required

Requirements

  • Must have 5 years of experience in Production planning & Warehouse function in an Manufacturing environment

  • In depth understanding of the MRP systems and Lean manufacturing concepts

  • Strong Analytical skills for determining trends/root causes and for report generations

  • Good systemic, data driven problem solver

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to communicate up and down the organization

  • Aerospace background preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

VIEW JOBS 10/25/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-23T00:00 The Assistant Project Manager works within the Project Management Team which is responsible to plan and oversee the project to ensure a timely and cost effective outcome. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the project. Ensure the project is constructed in a safe, ethical manner and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Assistant Project Manager will be involved in. What You'll Do: * Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and subcontractors to ensure the safe execution of all activities, including the strict adherence to company safety policies and programs through the communication and enforcement of the Skanska Safety and Health Management Program, including the ability to independently stop work for a safety violation or suspected safety violation * Hiring and recommend termination of subcontractors / vendors including negotiations, sub agreements, material agreements and PO's * Management of subcontractors and vendors schedule, performance, and payments * Ensure compliance with project and Skanska's DBE compliance program * Chair project meetings, including project team, owner and subcontractors meetings * Complete understanding of the contract including Skanska's contractual obligations and the owners obligations * Identify Project Risk and independently develop Mitigation Plans * Ensure timely notices as required to the owner to protect Skanska interests regarding extra work, design changes, delays, impacts, etc., which requires independent contract analysis * Manage project claims in collaboration with Skanska's Legal Department * Project submittals, process RFIs & shop drawings, as required by the Owner * Manage and/or coordinate onsite personnel, equipment and material resources * Manage the project budget utilizing Skanska's Cost Control Systems * Compile reports regarding financial, schedule and production reports for the Project Executive * Prepare and coordinate payments from owner and ensure timely payments * Develop and maintain the project schedule in sync with the project budget * Develop and maintain site logistics plan with Superintendent staff * Ensure the project delivers a quality product meeting Skanska's high quality standards The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
