As a Physical Design Engineer, you will be a member of the Implementation team designing the next generation of high-performance processor chips in leading-edge
CMOS process technology, targeted at network and consumer applications.
Maintain, enhance, and support Marvell's place and route, timing and/or integration flows incorporating industry standard EDA tools
Perform synthesis, floor planning, place and route, timing analysis, and closure on complex logic blocks.
Develop and implement timing closure and logic ECO's.
Interface with the RTL design team to drive design modifications to resolve congestion and timing issues.
Work with the global timing team in debugging/resolving any block level timing issues seen at full chip.
Test and maintain chip end-to-end flows, with specific focus on place and route, integration, and timing.
Interact with tool vendors to drive tool fixes and improvements in support of on-going and planned CAD activities.
Perform tool evaluations of new vendor tools and functions.
Work with design teams across various disciplines including Physical Design/RTL/Analog to design and verify complex processor IPs in cutting edge technology
Strong hands-on experience with implementation/support of designs through all aspects of RTL to GDS implementation (place and route, static timing, physical verification)
using industry standard EDA tools at the block/partition-levels.
Write scripts in Perl, Python and TCL to extract data and achieve productivity enhancements through automation.
Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentoring to employees on your team and others when necessary to achieve successful project outcomes.
Diligent, detail-oriented, and able to handle assignments with minimal supervision.
Must possess good communication skills, be a self-driven individual and be a good team player.
Experience with scripting languages such as PERL a plus.
Experience with timing analysis tools a plus.
Experience in leading edge FinFet process nodes a plus
Must have effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5+ years of related professional experience.
Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3+ years of experience.
