About this Opportunity

As a Senior Performance and Accountability Consultant, you'll provide expert design and consultation for performance and accountability systems and programs such as performance management, complaint resolution, and People Services Management. You will provide expert consultation consistent with Herman Miller values, business needs, policies, and legal requirements to People Services Consultants and Leaders organization-wide.

  • Provide expert and timely consultation relating to employment-related policies, performance management, and other HR programs, practices, and procedures.

  • Develop, administer, and continuously improve employment-related policies and practices. You will monitor federal, state, and local regulations and updates and implement Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures as appropriate.

  • Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams and/or projects related to employment-related policies, practices, and programs.

  • Serve as a central consulting resource to Human Resources on tools, documentation, and training.

  • Work with Leaders and Human Resources colleagues to develop and deliver training and awareness regarding compliance and HR programs.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Seven to ten years of progressive professional experience in Human Resources, including experience in developing and administering HR policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Five to seven years of employee relations experience, including solving complex personnel issues, conducting investigations, and interpreting company policies and employment law.

  • Demonstrated expertise in HR communications, performance management, employee relations, and HR-related statutory and regulatory environments.

  • The ability to interpret employment law and how it relates to programs, policies, and employee relations.

  • The ability to translate trends and data into actionable items.

  • The ability to consult with employees at all levels of the organization and effectively create solutions to unique and complex problems.

  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex situations and related data to determine appropriate actions.

  • The ability to act as a highly effective negotiator with strong persuasion abilities and customer service skills, while building and maintaining credibility and influence among business partners.

  • Excellent diplomacy and judgment when handling routine as well as emotionally charged situations.

  • A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently being used in the Herman Miller office environment.

  • A demonstrated high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes in a logical sequence and at a level appropriate to the audience, resulting in effective working relationships.

  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.

About this Opportunity As a Lead Generation Consultant - Education, you'll be responsible for increasing new customer acquisition opportunities by vetting incoming leads and generating customer-specific profiles to enhance Field Sales and dealer strategies. You will partner with Marketing and internal and external business partners to qualify and convert incoming leads to new business development opportunities. You'll build relationships with end users through direct engagement and customer research to facilitate handing off these relationships and potential opportunities to Field Sales and Dealer Sales Representatives to drive incremental revenue growth for the organization.
