  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and lead a people agenda that supports both the company and organization objectives.

  • Build and manage programs in areas related to people experience, such as on/off boarding, career development, diversity and training.

  • Support leaders, hiring teams and recruiters to attract great talent into the company; ensure an excellent onboarding experience.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues providing expert advice and decision making to continually improve morale and retention.

  • Collaborate with people leaders to provide coaching and feedback to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of team members.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment requirements and legislation to align Qumulo practices and policies with local requirements and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Leverage data and competitive intelligence to provide insight and recommendations that improve the people experience.

  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities that enable Qumulo to scale effectively as it grows.


  • 8+ years of experience working in Human Resources within a dynamic, fast-paced work environment; experience in a global high-growth technology start-up highly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer first mindset, with the ability to quickly build trust and effectively influence stakeholders.

  • High degree of integrity, discretion and sound judgment when managing complex decisions.

  • Strong project and program management skills and able to effectively manage competing priorities to meet commitments on time and with excellent quality.

  • Collaborative self-starter able to work with ambiguity and a variety of styles to drive results.

  • Innovator with an experimental mindset who thrives in an environment where you can create, build, and iterate.

  • Transparent and persuasive communicator, both verbally and in written.

  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws, policies, and business practices.

  • Demonstrated understanding of metrics, drivers and compensation plans.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or similar combination of education and experience.

VIEW JOBS 4/1/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-30T00:00 Overview The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education. The HR Business Partner is a strategic role that will work closely with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) senior leaders and employees at all levels, to provide information, guidance and consultation, and to facilitate the delivery of HR services that support an outstanding employee experience. As a member of the HR team, you will work closely with VP level leadership to facilitate HR services, define priorities and solve problems. Partnering with other HR teams - including Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, Immigration, Employee Relations/Legal, Recruiting and Employee Services - you will be the principal point of HR contact for your assigned customer divisions/groups. As part of the overall Business Partner team in HR, you also may provide back-up support to other groups when needed and may participate in development and change projects. Responsibilities * Aligns HR approaches with organizational strategy for assigned customer groups; defines and manages HR portfolio of work to support organizational goals and priorities * Leveraging experience to assist maturing the business * Builds a strong and trusted relationship with internal clients * Acts as both a member of the HR Business Partner team and a trusted advisor to SCCA leaders and managers * Guides and supports leaders and managers to bring the best experience and solutions to employees * Facilitates and collaborates with all HR functions to ensure delivery of a comprehensive set of services that meet organizational needs * Advises management on change implications and people impacts of organizational programs and initiatives * Actively identifies gaps; proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks * Supports organizational planning and financial management with respect to people/talent * Manages HR projects and issues cross-functionally * Other projects and duties as assigned Qualifications We are looking for a self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a complex, matrixed, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of and experience working with HR functions is essential. Experience in an academic research environment is preferred. Critical to success is the ability to provide an organized and effective process needed to achieve results, while balancing the needs of multiple customers. The HR Business Partner must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with a dynamic and diverse workforce at all levels.
