Responsibilities

The Senior People Operations Business Partner will be responsible for providing People Operations Leadership and support in the areas of Employee Relations, Talent Management, Organizational Performance and Design, Regulatory compliance, and other key People Operations functions. This position will serve as a primary People Operations contact for field operations teams and have regular interaction with Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers.

FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential:

  • Primary resource for employee relations efforts including assisting as needed in managing conflict and concerns between employees and/or managers. Responsible for ensuring proper training of local resources and operations managers and leaders to provide real time feedback for high performing teams and an incredible culture. Ensure consistency with corporate guidelines, company core values, and compliance with legal and statutory requirements.

  • Guide and coach leaders in the creation and ongoing sustainability of key talent initiatives such as individual development plans for high performing employees and onboarding plans for all new employees and leaders.

  • In partnership with the Regional People Operations VP, and VP of Talent Management and Organizational Development, drive the Talent Management process, including leading and supporting the talent assessment and succession planning process within each function.

  • Support the roll-out of automation tools, online learning platforms and enterprise level processes that more fully meets our organizational employee and leadership development needs.

  • Support People Operations in the preparation and execution of all major internal leadership programs such as Leadership Essentials, Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) and Leadership Institute (LI).

  • Provide leadership and direct support on initiatives related to the selection and interviewing process, company culture, and employee retention. Key stakeholder in the selection process for field leadership hires below the executive level.

  • Effectively drive and assist in cascading annual goals and performance management tools within the organization to ensure alignment and drive accountability.

  • Effectively deploy performance management and compensation incentive programs/practices within the region to drive required levels of employee accountability and performance; ensure retention of top performers. Continually assess and track trends in employee attitudes and behaviors.

  • Perform various other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or similar is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of People Operations (HR) business partner experience or would consider less experience with higher level education such as a Master's degree in an HR related field.

  • Strong background and experience with employee relations issues, conflict resolution, interpreting and applying employment law, and conducting investigations.

  • Successful track record developing HR business processes and programs.

  • Demonstrated and sustained success impacting the business; experience driving business results while partnering with business units.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Strong HR generalist base, including performance management, reward and recognition, professional development of staff, retention and talent development, and transactional knowledge.

  • Strong project management skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Good computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Windows Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Interpersonal/Communication Skills:

  • Strong Oral/Written Communication and Interpersonal, and Customer Service skills; ability to communicate effectively with a high degree of professionalism

  • Frequent interactions with a wide variety of internal and external contacts, with all levels of authority and responsibility

  • Ability to apply an enterprise mindset and organizational level thinking to situations.

PHYSICAL- ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily performed in an office-based environment with the flexibility to perform routinely in a hybrid or virtual setting.

Work Schedule:

  • Work is generally performed during what is considered to be normal business hours; however, on occasion may be required to work overtime.

Travel:

  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the year on average.
