JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will be a key part of the HR Total Rewards team supporting Payroll by assisting with payroll activities, leading payroll related projects, communication of our payroll policies. We are looking for highly analytical and creative problem solvers who are comfortable communicating with employees, which includes leaders. Prior Workday and acquisition experience preferred.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and will office in Tulsa, OK.
Job Profile Summary
Oversee the administration and compliance of the payroll process.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Oversee activities related to verifying and reconciling payroll for applicable business units before it is processed including but not limited to:
Ensuring the accuracy of the payroll as it relates to timekeeping practice and system processing
Audit/resolve variances in processed payroll prior to final processing
Ensure payroll is in compliance with government regulations
Issue discretionary quick pays
Preparation and entry of payroll activity not completed through workflows
Monitor regulatory or business environment changes to ensure compliance and recommend changes to payroll policies or procedures to management as appropriate
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies or reporting issues impacting the following business groups:
Legal
Benefit Accounting
Defined Plans
Tax Accounting
Division Human Resources
HRIS
Train and direct employees using system functionality and ensure procedures are current and documented
Compile, reconcile, and/or prepare information and reports including but not limited to:
Run Results
GRE Verification
Multi state compliance
Customized reporting based on elements or policy
Develop and present or maintain payroll communications and training for employees and management
Education
Work Experience
Experience with payroll functions and applicable policies and procedures
Experience with regulatory agencies and governmental laws and regulations pertaining to payroll administration
Experience with and understanding of use of microcomputer applications, such as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
Experience and/or training related to:
Applicable Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions
Payroll administration
Interpersonal communication skills
Experience monitoring, analyzing, and validating payroll transactions to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures
Experience developing, researching, and/or analyzing payroll summary data, division payroll processes and timetables, and activities affecting work flow
Experience reviewing and interpreting company policies and procedures, forms, manuals, legal interpretations, publications, and correspondence
