As the Senior Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for leading & implementing improved packaging solutions throughout the organization. Your primary objective will be to optimize the packaging designs to improve quality & reduce overall supply chain costs. You will play a crucial role in driving improved value for our customers and AZEK.
Design, Develop and Implement packaging for key products
Develop protocols and procedures as well as lead testing to comply with appropriate testing standards
Conduct on-site audits of potential packaging suppliers
Conduct on-site management of packaging optimization projects at key suppliers
Lead troubleshooting with packaging materials at AZEK manufacturing facilities
Liaison for troubleshooting of packaging materials at key AZEK OEM suppliers
Work directly with Marketing and Product Management on the artwork design of packaging materials
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment
Strong Project Management experience across cross-functional teams
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, MS Office Proficiency.
Experience with JD Edwards ERP a Plus
Experience with Bill of Material Design and Maintenance a plus.
Success Measures:
Sixty (60) - Ninety (90) days:
Knowledge of AZEK product lines and offerings
Understand cost improvement goals and objectives for the business
Connect with key internal functions and suppliers to identify and prioritize opportunities
Six (6) Months:
Conduct on-site supplier audits and packaging optimization projects at key suppliers
Develop protocols and procedures and implement across the organization
Establish controlled database for all packaging drawings and specifications
One (1) year:
Driving projects cross-functionally to execution
Meet individual objectives for the year including savings and quality targets
Create pipeline of projects to meet next year's goals and objectives
Implement impactful process and procedure improvements for the business

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role in most us locations is $97,500 to $119,000.
