Your Mission

As a Senior Outsource Supervisor, you will work on maintaining the vision set forth by the Art Leads and Art Directors as it relates to outsourcing environment assets for World of Warcraft. This includes props, foliage, illustrations, and architecture.

The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in creating and giving feedback for environment game assets, and has experience in modeling, UV mapping, texturing, and lighting. They will also have a solid grasp of art fundamentals and a deep understanding of the hand-painted Warcraft art style.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.

What you bring to the table:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Drive outsource development by scheduling and tracking incoming/outgoing assets.

• Manage communications and provide feedback to artists, and help maintain a strong creative relationship between external and internal art teams

• Generate detailed documentation, visual reference, and examples of asset production, tools, procedures, and engine requirements to support the external vendors

• Own the quality control over all incoming art assets, providing detailed feedback and approvals to the vendor to deliver quality assets to the development team

• Communicate with Art Directors, Art Leads, Production, Design, and other departments to understand and deliver on external development needs

• Prototype and create block-out assets

Minimum Requirements

Experience

• 5 years of experience in the AAA game industry or related field.

• Experience in game development creating 3D environment art

• Experience with 3D software packages and asset creation pipelines

• Experience communicating with external or remote teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Organized, great follow-through, dedicated, and a teammate

• Clear and concise communication, leadership, and people skills

• Collaborate closely with Team Leads, Concept Artists and other teams

• Understand real-time game development needs

• Ability to explore a wide variety of ideas that push the World of Warcraft style

• Software experience such as 3ds Max (or equivalent) and Photoshop

• Proficiency with production tracking tools such as Shotgrid / JIRA

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
