Senior Outsource Manager

Our studio is looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Outsource Manager who is passionate about bringing exceptional entertainment to players around the globe. At Hidden Grove, we appreciate the value of partnering with other disciplines to create something special, and you will work closely with a multidisciplinary group to manage outsourcing and external development relationships for a highly stylized new IP in development.

WHO YOU ARE:

• You deeply understand visual design principles and how they are applied to create appealing, stylized content.

• Proactive about championing the artistic vision of the product.

• You are well organized, work effectively with Producers, and autonomously manage tasks and relationships, both internal and external.

• You write excellent workflow and process documentation.

• You enjoy collaborating with external team members and development partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Drive outsource development by scheduling and tracking incoming/outgoing assets.

• Work with discipline leads and producers to create and prioritize objective lists and help author work briefs and SOWs for outsourcing partners.

• Manage daily/weekly communications, provide feedback to stakeholders, and help maintain a strong creative relationship between external and internal teams.

• Own the quality control over all incoming assets, providing detailed feedback and approvals to the vendor to deliver quality assets to the development team.

• Communicate with directors, leads, production, design, and other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with project tracking software such as Jira, ADO, ShotGrid, or Hansoft.

• A portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of visual design principles.

• Advanced skills in a 3D modeling DCC suite (ZBrush, Blender, Maya, etc).

• Recent experience integrating and reviewing assets in Unreal Engine 5.

• Skill at giving clear, actionable feedback to artists and producers verbally and in writing.

• At least 5+ years of experience as an artist and at least one development cycle managing outsourcing and/or external development for a game.

Compensation:

• This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.

• The full salary range for this position is $117,300 - $176,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.

• In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
