This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Some occasional travel required.

Purpose

The Senior Outreach Program Coordinator position will be responsible for managing and evaluating program outreach and recruitment initiatives for the E4Texas program at the University of Texas at Austin.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evaluate program outreach and recruitment initiatives for the E4Texas program at the University of Texas at Austin, including designing and distributing promotional materials.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase internship and employment opportunities for E4Texas students both locally and statewide.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners related to the recruitment, outreach, internships, and employment of E4Texas students.

  • Work with agencies and office staff to ensure that student referrals and tuition paperwork are processed.

  • Teach and support the E4Texas students. Survey students and community participants, evaluate results, and determine if project objectives are met or if improvements are needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of experience in community outreach, community organizing, and marketing campaigns. Experience building relationships and collaborating across departments, agencies, and organizations. Experience in teaching and supporting people with disabilities. Experience in developing or implementing curriculum. Experience in writing and editing correspondence. Knowledge of event-planning and design tools such as Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Zoom, Canva, and Adobe product suite for brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and problem solve. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including UT students, family members, faculty, staff, community partners, and local and state agencies. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's Degree with at least 3 years of responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination OR a Doctoral Degree with at least 1 year of responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination. Experience working in a higher education or post-secondary setting. Written and oral proficiency in Spanish.

Salary Range

$50,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • May work around standard office conditions

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

  • Office, on-campus teaching, and community activities

  • Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required

  • Occasional travel required

Work Shift

  • M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:
