H&R Block, the world's leader in tax preparation services, is looking for a Sr. Analyst on our Organization Effectiveness team. This position is located at our corporate headquarters, in the premier downtown Power & Light District of Kansas City, where everything is either steps or a streetcar ride away. The Sr. Analyst will collaborate with the Organization Effectiveness Consultants to support organizational development priorities of executives and strategic business partners and implement initiatives that address priority areas. They will aid in development and deployment of strategies for the management of planned change and systemically tracks and reports progress toward institutionalizing change.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and analyze current organizational systems, structures, culture, competencies, and related organizational practices to identify gaps between actual and desired states and recommend solutions for change

  • Project manage continuous improvement efforts for existing organizational systems/initiatives

  • Design, develop and implement strategies, interventions and resources (leadership development, performance management, succession planning, team building, career development, etc.) in conjunction with ongoing human resource policies and procedures

  • Partner with OE Consultants in the support of and implementation of business and cross-practice strategies

  • Facilitate feedback and action planning sessions to drive organizational improvements.

  • Lead small scale change management projects

  • Administer a number of behavioral-based assessments such as Myers Briggs across the organization

  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the role

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Development, Human Resources Management or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing HR and organizational development initiatives

  • Strong effective communication skills to include the ability to communicate with all levels of leaders and associates, both oral and written, strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills

  • Strong research, design, analytical skills

  • Experience in facilitation of business meetings and problem-solving

  • Results oriented with experience in project management of comprehensive organizational development system, process, or initiative implementation

  • Strong client focus to include ability to work across multiple disciplines; e.g., Finance, IT, U.S. Retail, Marketing, Legal, etc.

  • Experience in behavioral assessment and test interpretation

  • Successfully demonstrates the H&R Block Behaviors

Class Summary This is the second level in the Research series. Incumbents design and implement appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methodology to measure student assessment, institutional outcomes, and instructional and student support programs.
