Position Summary
Strategy, Planning, and Operations leads and manages a large and complex portfolio of IT projects and programs while establishing partnerships and stakeholder engagement efforts with students, faculty, staff, and external partners on behalf of the IT organization. The Strategy, Planning, and Operations Office also manages organizational initiatives and efforts, including general administrative functions, financial management and budgeting, vendor management and licensing, billing, internal communications, department human resources, talent management, and culture development.
The Organizational Change Management and Systems Training team manages organizational change by assessing the effects of technological changes on personnel and processes, devising strategies to minimize disturbance, collaborating with stakeholders on change projects such as communications in support of the enterprise project management portfolio, and facilitating the acceptance of change to enhance the value of transformative IT endeavors. Furthermore, organize and execute technology training programs for end-users on various applications and systems.
The Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist will define, frame, and structure organizational change management strategies for large, significant, and complex initiatives, assuring consistent application of OCM process, policy, and execution throughout initiatives and/or programs. This Senior Specialist will coordinate change activities and a small team of change practitioners throughout various types of projects/initiatives, including system implementations, business transformations, system updates, and more.
This individual will guide stakeholders and customers through change processes and provide them with an understanding of benefits and risks. Additionally, this Senior Specialist will foster innovation in business processes and smooth current-to-future state transitions for all stakeholders with focused strategies to achieve maximum adoption and utilization. They will partner with project or program managers to ensure OCM objectives are supportive of and integrated with overall project plans and are achieved on-time and within budget.
They will also work with project leadership to develop and sponsor change advocate coalitions. The Senior OCM Specialist will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by enabling university stakeholders to effectively adopt improvements and changes to technology and business processes in service of the institution's academic, research and service mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. This role will execute UCLA's vision while modeling UCLA's culture and values.

Qualifications
5 years experience working in one or more of the following fields: organizational change management, strategic communications, information technology, or another related field. (Required) Experience leading change management initiatives for large, complex IT projects. (Required) Experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication. (Preferred) 7+ years experience working in one or more of the following fields: organizational change management, strategic communications, information technology, or another related field. (Preferred) Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred) Expertise in change management methodologies, principles, and best practices. (Required)Foundational knowledge of IT best practices. (Required)Demonstrates superior change management analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills. (Required)Knowledge of the organizational environment of higher education and large research universities to understand stakeholder priorities, issues, motivations and constraints. Special Conditions for Employment
The anticipated pay range for this position is $119,261-$136,133, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
