Senior Oracle DBA / Fusion Middleware Application DBA

Immediate contract opportunity for Senior Oracle DBA / Fusion Middleware Application DBA with direct client based out of New York, NY. Trigyn has an immediate opening for a Senior Oracle DBA / Fusion Middleware Application DBA to support one of our Government client.

This will be a remote position within the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our client’s current version and future upgrades of Oracle Technologies and will lead the technical Lift and Shift from On-Prem to Cloud. The candidate will also help leadership design and recommend a long-term approach to the development of their Shared Data Warehouse (SDW). Qualifications: • The candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining Oracle database clusters that will enable and enhance software products and systems used every day by large platforms, applications, and groups of users. • Proven experience with administering Oracle databases in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred) • Strong understanding of cloud Oracle database architecture, concepts, and functionalities (SQL, PL/SQL, user management, security) • Experience with database automation scripting (Python, Shell) is a plus. • Assist in implementing long-term strategic goals for database development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders. • This position will be responsible for supporting new and existing Oracle database systems, both internally and future Cloud managed instances and will contribute to defining best practices in database administration and introduce innovation with automation. • Review existing configurations and installations and provide design decisions for improvements to platform environments. • Assist in planning and performing Oracle database upgrades and migrations. • Responsible for providing day-to-day administration support and maintenance for existing and new Oracle databases. • Perform production level support and be part of the on-call rotation when required. • Work with Oracle vendors and their respected support channels when required. • Work with multiple application teams and developers. • Implement HA solutions and backup/recovery solutions. • Proficient in UNIX Linux Shell Scripting for jobs automation and systems troubleshooting. • Familiar with advance Oracle Products/services:

Rac, compression, clustering and Exadata. • Experience conducting Lift and Shift from On Prem to Cloud environment. • Experience with backup and restore procedures. • Experience with Oracle Data Guard solution and DG broker implementation. • Experience with Oracle single sign workflow using Oracle access manager (OAM) and Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Kerberos scheme, WNA, OAM integration with OHS, WebGate agent. • Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware products such as BI publisher, capable of creating BI publisher reports. Experience installing and configuring Oracle ETL products, EDQ, ODI. • Good knowledge and experience in troubleshooting WebLogic application related issues. Knowledge of WLST scripting desired. • Experience using JVMD tool to troubleshoot WebLogic performance issues. • Good knowledge and experience in performance tuning for J2EE application issues. • Extensive knowledge and experience on EBS 12.2.10, integrate with OAM and OID for SSO.

WebGate and EBS access gate configuration for EBS. • Good knowledge and experience in installing, upgrading Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), familiar with administrative grouping, familiarity with SSO configuration for OEM systems, Incident rules configuration, monitoring and notification rules set up. • Good knowledge on Oracle OID, integration with (AD) Active Directory. • Familiar with Oracle database STIG compliance, Oracle Advanced Security and Security compliance best practices. • Good knowledge on GI cluster and Standalone GI, ASM storage configuration. • Experience designing, debugging, implementing, and maintaining PL/SQL procedures, triggers, user defined functions etc. • Familiar with OHS configuration and security compliance best practice. • Knowledge installing, configuring SOA suite, troubleshoot SOAP web service issues. • Good knowledge in setting up end to end HTTPS for application. • Experience in Azure/AWS IaaS platform is a plus. • Experience in Oracle Enterprise version 12c and extensive knowledge of Oracle 19c database, new features. • Familiar with CDB and PDB architecture, best practices, resource planning. • Good knowledge of Linux kernels and their impact on database performance. • Experience on troubleshooting performance related issues, use AWR report to pinpoint the issues. Familiar with database hint, optimizer. • Government Contract Experience desired • Identify inefficiencies/performance issues in current databases and implement improved solutions. About You • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. • 8 years of experience • Requires 8 years of related experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of Oracle. • Excellent troubleshooting skills. • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. • Manage expectations and communicates proactively. • Displays excellent collaborative skills to facilitate cross-functional teams. • Ability to work with minimal supervision seeking direction as required. • Perform debugging, tuning and performance enhancement as well as automation of operational and continuous integration aspect of the Oracle platforms. • Working knowledge of Data Modelling. • Working knowledge of scripting languages, Bash, ksh, Perl etc.
