Senior Oracle DBA Administrator

Pella Corporation seeks a full-time Senior Oracle DBA Administrator. Responsible for administering and overseeing technical design, implementation, organization and troubleshooting of key business systems.

Responsible for improving maintenance, performance, uptime of all Oracle Databases supported by the team. In addition to the pure database support, there is responsibility and oversight for Oracle Applications (E-Business Suite). This position documents and delegates support work to IT technicians as appropriate; provides proactive management to meet business objectives through both user feedback and internal metrics; and has system wide responsibility on complex projects and components. Provides direction to team members and is a key contributor; assists with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills; is viewed as a subject matter expert within the organization; and provides coaching to junior-level employees.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any engineering field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a database administration or related occupation. Experience must include five (5) years of database administration or related experience, (which may have been gained concurrently), with all of the following: 1) administering and overseeing technical design, implementation, organization and troubleshooting of key business systems; 2) improving maintenance, performance, and uptime of all Oracle Databases and Oracle Applications (E Business suite); 3) providing management aimed at cost, providing capacity to meet business growth and demand, and defining capacity management metrics; 4) determining technical specifications and conducting analysis required to meet business needs; 5) producing operational documentation to turn over to technicians and service desk team members; and 6) utilizing the following technologies and tools:

Oracle database components, performance troubleshooting tools, Oracle Application Server, backup/recovery, OEM, scripting (Linux & Microsoft Server), and other DBA tools (Benthic, Toad, and SQL Developer); Oracle Apps DBA; Oracle EBS; and RMAN (Recovery Manager) for Oracle databases.
