Develop, implement, and follow-up a product plan for complete coverage of O&R production from initial plan to completed product within a defined budget and schedule.
1.Develop Overhaul & Repair planning schedule monthly.
2.Reschedule parts for production to achieve an even flow of matched sets of parts to stock MRP reports.
3.Plan the component and raw material inventory assets through the use of Requirements Planning System.
4.Responsible for firming and releasing planned orders.
5.Authorize order releasing, monitor the validity of the open order files, evaluate feedback and take appropriate action.
6.Interface with Purchasing to identify parts that are not to required delivery schedule, to develop work arounds and/or expedite.
7.Must work with estimating to develop a budget, then to develop a product plan to meet the budget.
8.Must utilize written and oral communication to correct and implement changes as required to stay on schedule.
9.Must interpret drawings and verify correctness and completeness of routings.
10. Other related duties as required.
11. Responsible for reschedule of shop orders to align with scheduled ship date of related customer order.
12. Responsible for complete value chain for R refurbished parts, from scheduling of teardown, release of purchase order through receipt and closure of shop order.
13. Identification of changes required to forecast BOM's to assure correct mix of parts are purchased at appropriate volumes.
3 to 5 years experience in Production Planning encompassing total planning from the design phase through procurement, fabrication, sub and final assembly, test, pack and ship.
Experience in total product planning to include all components of a specific product defined by a (BOM) Bill of Material and close interface with procurement on all material which is supplied by outside vendors.
Experience in being able to schedule work including tasking and time phasing the production plan.
Significant experience with a computerized planning system such as MRP II.
College degree in Business Administration or technical degree equivalent.
