Responsibilities

Group / Division

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • The desired candidate in this position designs, develops, and tests the next generation of KLA+ optical systems.

  • He/she interacts with hardware and software design teams to assist in overall development of the optical systems and develop new technologies for the inspection systems.

  • Tasks include specifying, selecting, and qualifying optical components, developing and benchmarking system performance models, developing and implementing test procedures, and evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation.

  • As a senior design engineer, the applicant will work closely with the systems group to develop the fundamental specifications that will determine final system performance

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Optical Design and Analysis

  • Specifications

  • Imaging System Design

  • Modeling

  • Tolerance Analysis

  • Stray Light Analysis

  • Optical Metrology

  • Optical Testing

  • System Build (hands-on)

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Desirable additional experience includes:

  • Design of diagnostic/inspection equipment

  • Precision opto-mechanical assemblies

  • Design for Manufacturing

  • Semiconductor industry equipment

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) with at least 5 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.

Design/develop high performance test solutions on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for first silicon verification, characterization, qualification and manufacturing of Power and Mixed Signal products: * Work with design engineers in defining/developing test methodologies, test plans, test modes, SCAN and IDDq test patterns. * Evaluate new test platforms. Install and integrate new ATE platform with world-wide manufacturing systems. * Design, develop and debug multi-site, cost effective test HW/SW solutions for characterization, qualification and production wafer probe and final test. * Work with lay-out engineers in designing of Printed Circuit Boards multi-site test HW. * Work with design engineers in validating/correlating new test HW/SW solution to design bench reference data. * Manage and maintain projects schedules that align with product introduction and release dates. * Engage and support local and offshore manufacturing to maintain production yield and high quality and resolve product and test problems after production release. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (Master's degree a plus) in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline such as Electronics Engineering, with 10+ years of experience involving: analyzing and debugging analog and digital circuits; Designing hardware and software solutions for Automated Test Equipment that minimize test cost and maximize test performance; Developing multi-site test program using programming languages such as C/C++ or Visual Basic; Using schematic and layout tools such as Orcad, Cadence ALLEGRO; Performing statistical data analysis using Excel or other data tools; Documenting and presenting test plans and evaluation reports for power and mixed-signal products. Experience with ATE system calibration and verification required. Strong preference for experience with ATE system level architecture and integration, as well new test platform installation and world-wide manufacturing, wafer sort, and final test integration. Experience with NI STS, Advantest 93k and ETS-364 platforms preferred. Demonstrated performance with leading-edge high-complexity mixed-signal Power products. Experience with high-voltage, high-current (2kV, 1kA) devices and integrated drivers preferred. For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
