Motivate is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee our workforce and manage the asset maintenance and repair aspects of Boston's bikeshare operations.

About the Role

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will directly support the Regional General Manager in overseeing in overseeing the asset maintenance and repair aspects of operations to maintain required levels of rideability and availability systemwide. You will demonstrate success in engaging work teams and developing leaders within your operation, as well as manage the day-to-day operations to ensure the success of the department. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a proven track record of analyzing complex data and implementing solutions based on the data to impact business results.

  • Oversee a team of employees and people leaders ensuring that they are engaged and aligned to meet customer needs and maximize customer service

  • Ensure that bikes are maintained/repaired, and returned to operation in good condition as quickly as possible, all stations are balanced, assets are recovered, coverage for client-facing service needs is available

  • Oversee scheduling of employees, including master planning and daily updates; full employee life cycle management and demonstrated people leadership

  • Review and implement processes and improvement initiatives to further increase efficiency in obtaining targets and team management strategies

  • Identify and improve the team's performance and inspection metrics, analyzing data and creating reports and presentations

  • Implement safety initiatives within the department to maintain a safe work environment, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met or exceeded

About You

  • You are an experienced manager and people leader who leads by example and understands how to best motivate and encourage your team, while completing all managerial and supervisory activities

  • You are an operations expert, with demonstrated experience successfully overseeing large warehouse-based operations and a background in operations management, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related field

  • You are a self-starter, with the ability to multi-task, follow-through, think critically, and apply analytical problem solving with a high degree of judgment

  • You are a team player who is able to work cross-functionally across departments

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of audiences

  • You are proficient in MS Office, Slack, Tableau, and other data visualization, planning & communications software applications

  • You have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, familiar with the street layout of the Boston area
