Senior Operations Logistics Manager
Performs and coordinates detailed analyses to ensure the integration of support considerations into the design process. Plans and develops logistics program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of the product.
Responsible for complex components of programs. Evaluates design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements and the relative supportability of alternative concepts Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal (Wyle Group) or external business (Industry) issues and recommends best practices.
Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May mentor/run project teams within a discipline or job family.
Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline. Interprets internal/external customer challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services based on industry knowledge. Has expertise in DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements, advises colleagues on interpretation of standards within the context of Group's contract objectives.
May advise multi-disciplinary teams or run projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Guides others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions. Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by broad Unit/Division/Department policies.
Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to influence decisions. May have formal, but limited, supervision of team members at a Department level to include verification of time cards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisals. May be the primary customer contact for assigned area of responsibility.
Requires a college or university degree in Engineering.In some disciplines, advanced degree may be a requirement to reach this level. Typically requires 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
