We are looking for a Senior Manager

  • Operational Excellence to join our site leadership team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In this position, you will be responsible for the oversight and direction of the site Operational Excellence program in consultation with the Plant Manager, the Director of Operations and The Americas Operational Excellence Leader. The incumbent will lead the site in the deployment of operational excellence tools and support the building of an operational excellence culture.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing complex, strategic cross-functional projects, delivering operational excellence to the site in support of achieving plant goals, KPIs and priorities.

  • Owner of site KPI's. Ensure monthly and yearly data is submitted on time, in full, and per the standard. Audit site KPI adherence to ensure data submitted is following the global standards.

  • Developing and leading the site OpEX annual priority Roadmap. Selecting, scoping, prioritizing, and executing projects to deliver business objectives and improvements

  • SPOC for Digital Transformation of the site. Assist site owners in project management to deliver digitalization road map.

  • Providing leadership / mentoring / training to all levels of the organization on the practical application of Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies, strategy deployment and project management/governance process

  • Championing the sites critical processes (DDS, 5S, etc.). Auditing, providing feedback and driving adherence with operational area owners.

  • Assist with the management and prioritization of organizational deliverables related to Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Plan and drive the execution of various transformation programs and projects targeted towards harmonizing & simplifying the business's performance

  • Facilitates OpEx training programs, Kaizen events and other enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Works collaboratively with functional area management to fully implement and assure sustaining standards are in place

  • Works with department leaders for the deployment of roadmap strategies to ensure sustainable compliance and continuous improvement processes over time

  • Leads the training dept to ensure continuity in training programs for the operational' s functions.

  • Benchmarks industry practices and external expertise to identify future organizational opportunities

  • Networking with Opex global community and sharing best practices, benchmarking within Coty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We'd love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in major technical field or Management required, Engineering degree preferred OR equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a challenging and fast-paced manufacturing environment; preferably in the cosmetics, consumer goods or related field.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience

  • Experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies including (Lean, SMED, Standard work etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of Safety and QA standards

  • Proven ability to develop capabilities, to coach and develop talent

  • Project management experience

  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization

  • An achievement focused hands-on leader capable of operating both deep in the details and highly strategic at the same time.

  • Strong computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power Bi)

Desirable:

  • Experience with FDA approved manufacturing practices

  • Demonstrated experience in culture change & leadership of large multifunctional teams

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP
