About the team

The Systematics Core Banking Solution offers end-to-end solutions for architecture, customer information (Relationship Manager), deposits (IMPACS & Savings Time), lending (Advanced Lending Solution Servicing Manager), and financial and management reporting.

What you will be doing


  • Investigates known error conditions and follows prescribed error correction procedures.

  • Recognizes abnormal processing conditions and determines appropriate actions required to resolve issue(s) and complete processing.

  • Makes use of available documentation to resolve errors.

  • Maintains the production scheduling system and new/improved work procedures.

  • Researches and resolves user problems as well as issues and problems with software systems, production processing and production environments.

  • When solving a mainframe production or system problem, makes effective use of tools and resources, utilizes manuals, write-ups and other tools as an aid in solving the problem. Contacts others experienced in area for ideas about problem.

  • Follows escalation procedures when appropriate to resolve processing problems and user problems in a timely manner and meet service levels and other standards for the job.

  • Coordinates testing of applications, systems, processes and procedures, hardware and/or software changes.

  • Analyzes and implements changes or additions to software systems and production procedures.

  • Trains internal customers (employees) on changes, new systems or new procedures.

  • May identify new tools, technology or processes that improve the overall processing environment or processing efficiency.

  • Assists in the definition of external and internal customer problems and needs. Discusses expectations with customers. May explain solutions directly to customers where appropriate.

  • Maintains the production support disaster recovery/business continuity plans. Coordinates and conducts disaster recovery testing as required, documents test results and documents modifications required for future testing.

  • Completes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:


High school diploma or GED. Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferable or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.


  • Knowledge of client objectives and business priorities and FIS role in achieving those objectives and priorities

  • Knowledge of costs/benefit implications of products and services

  • Ability to understand real need behind client stated needs, to anticipate client future needs, to discern business opportunities in client needs and work effectively with multiple client contacts

  • Skill in solving client business problems

  • Proactively take steps to better client relationships

  • Ability to show concern for needs, feelings and issues of clients, to communicate that client's business is valued, to meet client perception of high quality/best value services and products and to ensure commitments are accomplished according to client specifications

  • Ability to respond to client questions or needs even if outside area of responsibility

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public

Bonus if you have:

  • Systematics Core Banking soluition experience would be a +

  • Any Batch Processing, JCL, CA7, or TSO experience would be preferred

  • Product Testing experience would be ideal

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on both user needs and thorough understanding of systems and industry requirements with limited supervision. * Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis * Analyze business and user needs, document requirements and translate into user stories and acceptance criteria * Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish the underlying true needs from user requests * Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze needs and develop interface design or user stories and acceptance criteria based on the defined requirements * Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade offs between usability and performance needs * Document and maintain software business logic * Identify and clarify unclear or ambiguous requirements * Conduct peer review for completeness and viability of documentation developed by other Business Analysts * Successfully engage in multiple initiatives concurrently MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required Skills: * Ability to assess work assignments, create timelines, report on progress toward those established goals and reassess as needed. * Strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements * Understanding of the healthcare industry and the information exchange between consumers, providers, clearinghouses, payers and employers * Strong understanding and experience with technical systems * Ability to identify technical solutions for business problems * Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies * Excellent organizational skills * Ability to interact with internal staff at all levels * Excellent oral and written skills in order to effectively communicate with customers and internal staff * Ability to formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and due diligence * Ability to take complex problems, and decompose them into well organized, detailed components to facilitate problem solving * Demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly and balance multiple tasks * Self-motivated and able to work independently * Ability to coordinate teams of internal and external stakeholders through meetings and decision processes * Education / Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or related Information Technology field * Three+ years' experience in business systems analysis, technical writing, and design analysis * Experience in healthcare or IT industries * Three+ years' experience writing detailed business requirements, business processes, user stories and acceptance criteria * Experience facilitating requirement-gathering sessions * Knowledge of system design concepts, client - server architecture, relational database design, reporting and related disciplines preferred * Experience with software development project management and project lifecycle methodologies Join our team today where we are creating a better coordinated, increasingly collaborative, and more efficient healthcare system!
