Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily processing and oversight for all investment accounts from the various distributions (Wealth Management, Retail, Funds and Institutional). They will work closely with the Administrators to evaluate daily workload in addition to the Team Supervisor for escalation, as needed. The primary responsibilities include opening new accounts, account activation, investment activity processing and account reconciliation. This position will also be tasked with working closely with the Supervisor to complete additional department responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain investment accounts within the portfolio accounting and trading systems. These responsibilities range from account opening and closing, handling client specific requests, and securing appropriate documentation.

  • Ensure that all trading and cash transaction activity is properly reflected in the portfolio accounting and trading systems. All cash and/or trade discrepancies need to be resolved in a time-efficient manner and communicated as necessary.

  • Address and coordinate a timely response for any operational related inquiries from both internal and external parties.

  • Review and monitor team responsibilities on a daily basis and work closely with the Administrators to reallocate within the team when needed.

  • Assist Supervisor with additional department responsibilities which may include collateral management, reporting, client invoicing, audits and global market opening / maintenance.

  • Assists with department processes and identifies areas of improvement to mitigate overall risk to the Firm.

  • Maintain current and detailed desk procedures.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or other related discipline preferred.

  • Previous financial industry experience (at least 5 years).

  • Knowledge of various asset classes (i.e., fixed income, options and alternatives).

  • Highly motivated and detailed individual with an ability to develop innovative solutions to problems.

  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Windows based applications.
