About the Team/Role:
We are seeking a Senior Operational Excellence Program Manager to join our WEX Operational Excellence and Global Transformation Office. You'll be charged with supporting multiple work streams across WEX, enabling us to evolve how we work. You're ready to take on the responsibility of crafting, developing, and partnering with key leaders to enable us to simplify the way we work with a focus on delivering exceptional customer and consistent employee experiences.
A Senior Operational Excellence Program Manager:
Loves to multi-task: Manages five to seven projects at a time providing structure that enables effective delivery and change management.
Leads strategic and organizational storytelling and communications for the organization, with an emphasis on executive-facing communications
Brings order to chaos: Is comfortable with ambiguity at the start of the project. Works across WEX to define the best path forward and then develops and communicates the project plan.
Creates a positive project culture: Builds an open, honest, and fun project culture, facilitates change in an inclusive way holding team members accountable for their work, and is willing to have difficult conversations when necessary.
Builds relationships and is a collaborative team player, influencing decisions and getting things done with or without direct authority (matrix management).
Gets things done: Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and takes the initiative to make things better. When faced with a roadblock, looks for creative ways to say yes and make things happen
How You'll Make an Impact:
Take ownership of ~5 meaningful workstreams and work directly with workstream sponsors (executive team) and workstream leads (VP level) and ensure progress against initiative portfolio
Familiarize yourself in-depth with ~50 initiatives (~10 per workstream) and build trusted relationships with individual initiative owners across the organization to understand true execution progress and surface issues
Work cross-functionally to swiftly remove or escalate implementation roadblocks
Identify and address interdependencies across initiatives or workstreams when they arise
Hold workstream sponsors, workstream leads and initiative owners accountable via structured follow-up on action items, implementation milestones and financial impact, and call out gaps when they arise
Champion change across the organization and lead by example from the center
Coaches through and implements standard processes and tools to maximize team productivity and reinforces use per standards.
Project execution: Manages projects to completion. Drives status meetings and reporting and proactively addresses tasks/milestones. Monitors work being done vs. the plan, addresses discrepancies with project leads, and proactively manages project financials. Ability to manage multiple and complex work streams and work across boundaries and deliver a diverse set of initiatives that result in transformational outcomes.
Support the continuing evolution of growth and scale, identifying areas of opportunity for maturation and adoption

Who will work with you?
You'll work alongside our Senior Operational Excellence Program Managers, commercial, digital and technology teams, business and executive leadership, along with other key partners across WEX to enable informed decision-making across the organization.
Experience You'll Bring:
5-7 years of progressive experience in project management
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, agile development, and user-centered design
Demonstrated analytical, project coordination, and management skills
Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses and recommendations into executive-level insights and debriefs.
Confidence and the ability to lead, establish relationships, and resolve conflicts
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment
Experience leading large-scale transformations across a matrixed organization
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $123,000.00 - $163,000.00
