ChristianaCare' Medical Group Cardiology Consultants department is looking to hire a Full Time Senior Office Assistant to support the department at Avenue North.

The Senior Office Assistant is the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers. Frequently collaborates with hospital and office staff to ensure a seamless delivery of patient care. Fields incoming phone calls, schedules appointments when appropriate and works in collaboration with other departments across the Cardiology practice

Work Schedule:

• Monday- Friday: 8am- 4:30pm

• No weekends or holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Back-office support for over 45 Clinicians to include physicians, APC's, and hospitalists

• Answers all phone calls in a professional manner and triages appropriately

• Accurately relays and responds to messages in Powerchart

• Schedules appointments with awareness of insurance, provider and location

• Work with acute care team distributing Hospital Consults and callbacks

• Utilization of Vocera to communicate with acute care team

• Performs daily operational duties utilizing Powerchart, Soarian, Revenue Cycle and insurance web-site systems.

• Maintain HIPAA compliance.

• Interacts with physicians, practice staff, various Christiana Care departments, patients, and patients' family members in a courteous and professional manner.

• Assists with copying, faxing and general administrative support

• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate with typing and computer experience

• Two years' experience in a medical practice with insurance processing knowledge required.
