Job Description
Diagnose, treat and medically manage work-related injuries and illnesses for Bath Iron Works employees.
Collaborate with on-site medical, nursing and workers' compensation personnel, management and outside providers concerning work-related injury case management, return to work and fitness for duty concerns.
Perform routine medical surveillance physical examination and case review for a variety of programs, i.e., exposures from asbestos, heavy metals, various environmental toxins and noise; DOT; fire brigade and other programs.
Supervise the BIW clinical staff.
Works within current nurse practice act of the State of Maine.
Minimal on-call required.
No holidays or weekends.
4x10 weekday work schedule.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
Master's degree in nursing required.
Certified nurse practitioner required.
Current State of Maine APN license required.
Required/Preferred Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a nurse practitioner in either family or adult practice required, occupational experience preferred.
Managerial experience required.
BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
Occupational health experience is highly desirable.
Must be able to maneuver through the Shipyard.
Must be able to participate in Sea Trials.
