Group/Division

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization is a matrix organization overseeing sourcing, supplier contracting, supplier management, materials management, procurement (direct and indirect), logistics, and trade compliance around the world. GSC leads the company to establish and manage an innovative, reliable, efficient, effective, and compliant supply chain and logistics, working to assure competitive advantage for KLA.

Responsibilities

Responsible for technical sourcing, supplier relationship management, and program management of technical components, subsystems, and systems that are developed with and/or procured from our supply chain. Requires a blend of technical and business expertise as well as solid interpersonal and negotiation skills to contribute, lead, and manage at all organizational levels, both internally and externally. Contribute, lead, and manage cross-functional and cross-divisional (as needed) teams to ensure timely achievement of milestones, effective supplier relationship management, and on-time delivery of high quality material goods and services at the lowest possible costs. These positions lead, co-ordinate, and manage supplier business reviews. They also support, lead, and manage the early involvement of key suppliers in our technology and NPI programs managing the sometimes conflicting technical and business challenges.

In addition, these positions support, lead, and manage the achievement of all business objectives, including technology and product requirements, cost reductions, product improvements, and problem resolutions. The positions require a technical understanding of our products, commodities, and components; as well as an understanding of both our suppliers' and our own business and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Positions require a minimum of a BS Degree in a technical engineering field or equivalent; In addition, an MBA is preferred. Relevant industry experience in engineering or product development, as well as experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or procurement. Experience in marketing is a plus. Technical sales experience will also be considered.

  • Positions require solid technical, business, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that map to and support overall business strategies.

  • Ability to lead complex supplier relationship and negotiations.

  • Ability to develop and manage supplier business reviews and scorecards.

  • Able to ensure compliance with company supply chain management best practices, policies, procedures, and external compliance requirements.

  • Ability to contribute and drive technical solutions both internally and externally.

  • Domestic and international travel may be required.

The candidate chosen for this position will be responsible for managing project teams, and communicating with the Project Management Offices (PMOs), and other functional groups ensuring that New Product Introduction (NPI) have the correct focus on coordination, prioritization, and performance monitoring in order for the GOPS and Geographies organizations to be prepared to support new products being introduced to the field. Qualities & Duties: This position will require: An individual that has very strong written and verbal communication skills. It also requires the ability to motivate others, and schedule necessary activities as a primary representative of GOPS and Service related GEOS in the support of multiple and concurrent new product releases. Overall management of activities will include a proven ability in facilitation of teamwork, meeting controls, estimating, risk analysis, and effective reporting on project and program activities as part of a cross-functional GOPS NPI role. A good understanding of a standard design & development process, including a focus on quality in order to act as a liaison with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing and other functional groups. Negotiate and assign resources required to gather or create documentation and services to support the New Product Introduction activities for the GOPS and service related Geographies. Work closely with other departments within the GOPS organization to present a unified plan for the overall program release describing GOPS activities and deliverables in accordance with the Product Life Cycle (PLC) development and deployment model. Work closely with the NPI Portfolio Manager and Functional Managers in the GOPS organization designated to support new product releases in order to form cohesive project and program management teams. Maintain and update local procedures, work instructions and tools in support of New Product Introduction activities with the other members of the GOPS Field NPI team to ensure accurate documentation deliverables. To include general contribution to ongoing process improvement initiatives. Evaluates existing and new processes using process mapping and other related techniques typical of a business process analytics. Must be knowledgeable and experienced with Windows and Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and other software tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom for remote collaboration.
