The NPI Project Manager, or Project Lead (PL) takes ownership of and is responsible for one or more NPI sub-project(s) supporting the introduction of new systems to the field. This includes the standard New Product Introduction deliverables as well as the organizational and infrastructure changes required. Throughout the different phases of the NPI sub-project(s) the PL has several roles and responsibilities:

  • As field representative the PL will ensure that requirements from the field will be taken into the design and in the development of the Service Mix (Tools, Procedures and Spares)
  • The PL tracks requirement compliance. For non-compliances the PL defines containment requirements and ensures risks are mitigated
  • Responsible for configuration management of both HW and SW, upgrade planning, and review with marketing for customer communication
  • Will be tasked with defining a process for delivering equipment that becomes solidified within the standard way off working
  • The PL will set-up and operate issue intake and solution roll-out processes. For these processes the PL will align handover criteria with the line organization to migrate the execution of processes from the project to the line organization
  • As tools move from proto to volume manufacturing, the PL will coordinate the New Product Transfer (NPT)
  • You are the point of contact for Sales, RPM, and manufacturing teams, coordinating with local installation teams at the customer site
  • As a project manager, the PL ensures that the field has the required information to prepare itself and drives execution by the Field and by the sector PLs and reports status
  • The PL will generate the Key Decision deliverables for the Product Generation Process to ensure cross sector approvals for all the NPI services
  • The PL manages with support of Start-up Equipment Support (SES) Engineers the Intro & Upgrade Support projects
  • The NPI Project Leader works together with multiple groups within ASML: System Engineering, Development & Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management and the Field.
  • Feedback experiences and lessons learned towards the respective teams


  • Masters degree (or Bachelor + relevant experience) in physics, electronics or mechanical engineering.
  • Familiar with semiconductor equipment install procedures, including third party inspections, safety sign-offs, and city inspection process
  • Strong influencing skills: able to motivate, drive, steer and convince others at all levels of the organization (influencing without power)
  • Creative, reduces ambiguity with a focus on customer requirements
  • Strong consultative communication skills (multi-cultural and towards different levels)
  • Solid service, process, project & change management skills
  • Strong technical background with a drive towards solutions delivered on time
  • Work very independent but well aligned in teams of multiple project managers reporting into one Project/Program Manager
  • Extensive project, change or service delivery management experience (3-5 years) in a high-tech equipment industry.

Report out team tasks and status. * Work with internal stakeholders to provide improvements to the manufacturing process * Identify and manage program risks, constantly evaluating them against schedule, quality, and vehicle goals * Keep team focused by prioritizing tasks, negotiating deliverables, managing interdependencies and help develop plan towards problem resolution * Ensure tight team integration and communication both locally and globally, internal and external to the company * Contribute to program reviews, both at operational level and executive level * Ensure the System Engineering team program execution meets overall program requirements and timeline Qualifications * 10+ years of engineering program management experience * Experience using Agile project management techniques * Experiences with manufacturing process of electronics components * Familiar with software/hardware development process * Great spoken, written, and presentation communication skills * Ability to resolve hard issues and conflicts * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, results-oriented * Experiences with defect tracking tools, bug scrum and defect management * Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering related field Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience in the automotive industry is preferred, but not required.
