Lead the development and configuration of all aspects of new application systems. Design, enhance, program, and maintain new application solutions while adhering to development specifications and standards. Provide detailed technical program specifications and algorithms to implement desired business functionality and implement them for new program development. Provide for overall application system integrity and meeting project schedules. Lead the coding, data access, and unit testing process. Coach and mentor less experienced staff.


  • Lead the development unit testing and configuration of all aspects of a new application system.

  • Provide detailed technical program specifications for new program development.

  • Design specific algorithms that implement the desired business functionality and implement these designs.

  • Oversee the adherence to development specifications and standards.

  • Lead the functional decomposition and design program flow and execution steps.

  • Lead the development of reusable code/object/service libraries.

  • Provide for overall new application system integrity and the meeting of applicable project schedules.

  • Coach and mentor less experienced staff.

  • 6+ years' experience as a new application developer.

  • Insurance industry related experience preferred.


  • Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., business, finance, or technical) or equivalent experience required.

Primary responsibility will include participation in building large-scale web-based applications around logistics management system for the US Navy submarine program. Duties will include creating and maintaining ASP.NET Web Forms and .Net Core MVC using C#, and development and understanding of Database Objects creation (i.e. Stored Procedures and Packages). Additional duties include support for project planning and software engineering full life cycle management. The selected candidate will be part of a programming team, supporting the Logistic Data System (LDS), and will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: A Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of related work experience or an Associate's Degree and at least four years of related work experience. Additional skill/experience: * Implement requirements as defined by customer with Microsoft web architecture * Strong web development skills utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (C# required) * Oracle RDBMS experience with object creation, data structures, packages and stored procedures. (Oracle PL/SQL) * Proficiency in JavaScript/jQuery * Evaluate complex interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part * Possess an understanding of Configuration Management * Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to work in a team environment or independently Security clearance requirement: An active DoD Secret security clearance highly desired however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance may be considered.
