ANS is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to support our Mission-critical customer in Culpeper, VA.
Provides Tier 3 support to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Supports an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, Intranet and Internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system.
Monitors network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
Maintains network hardware and software.
Proactively identify risks in the network and develop a plan to mitigate them.
Provides support of numerous business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video).
Candidate must have a total of 10 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School degree and 10 years of work history OR an Associate's and 8 years, a Bachelors' and 6 years, a Masters and 4 years or a PhD and 0 years of work history.
Advanced networking qualifications including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, LAMBDA.
Utilization of common ticket systems (Remedy, ServiceNow) and common network management tools (HPOV, HPNA, Solarwinds, MNS, Netcool, etc).
Candidate must have hands-on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems.
Applicant must have a strong understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, LDP.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph; this position requires ability to satisfy a government administered high risk screening.
Desired certifications include: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIE, ITIL Foundations, and/or CISSP
