As part of a nimble team you'll provide network engineering support to the enterprise of a company building space vehicles. You must have a passion for solving complex and interesting problems and be able to adapt to the challenges found in such a unique environment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


  • Subject matter expert for designing, operating, and maintain network security appliances

  • Engineer, troubleshoot, maintain the enterprise network spanning multiple sites and launch facilities

  • Participate and provide senior leadership on standards implementation, MOP review, and mentorship of team members

  • Provide continuous improvement in network visibility/performance to ensure critical applications are able to achieve their goals

  • Validate the network as designed and deployed meets requirements and specifications

  • Develop and maintain configuration control of all corporate and mission networks

  • Maintain inventory of all network devices on all corporate and mission networks

  • Develop and maintain all documentation for all corporate and mission networks


  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate senior level experience with the following network protocols:

  • BGP

  • OSPF

  • Multicast

  • 802.1x

  • Client and Site based VPN

  • 802.11xx wireless infra

  • Travel as needed to support launch operations, maintenance, or new network deployments

  • Proven ability to adopt to multi vendor solutions in a best of bread environment

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in information technology, networking or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior network engineer

  • CCNP or CCIE certification

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team of highly skilled software engineers and IT systems administrators

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform Network Operations duties supporting the Boeing Global SatCom Service Network Operations Center (NOC) and Data Center. Primary duties will include monitoring, troubleshooting SatCom and Terrestrial Networking issues, and providing exceptional customer and team support. The position requires the ability to triage or troubleshoot the problem, if possible and escalate through the proper channels when it is not. Performance of Satellite communication control functions require experience and understanding of IP networks and broadband RF networks. This includes being knowledgeable in the implementation of the OSI and/or TCP/IP Reference Model and the TeleManagement Forum (TMF) Reference Model. A high level of attention to detail and ability to stay focused for long periods of time is required as well as a complete understanding of Fault Configuration Accounting Performance and Security (FCAPS). Will be required to coordinate with third-party vendors, customer contacts, or other IT teams. All aspects of FCAPS for the production system will be monitored, maintained, and problem resolved by this position. Off-hour, including nights, weekends and holidays (7x24x365) support is required. Some travel is required. This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
