The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring and ongoing maintenance of network hardware and corresponding systems. Continuous review of network systems, processes, and design throughout the organization to increase efficiency. This position will work with the Networking and Infrastructure teams to build a lasting global network topology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Configure and maintain all networking devices, such as firewalls, routers, switches WAPs, and VPN appliances.
Configure v-switches and v-firewalls in Fortna's Hypervisors and Cloud environments.
Manage the configuration and patching of network devices
Ability to design and architect a network
Implement and improve Network monitoring solutions to resolve network issues
Management and administration of infrastructure related to the LAN and WAN
Ensure Change Management processes are adhered to for all major infrastructure changes
Work with the Security team to ensure security policies are adhered to for all infrastructure devices
Engage vendors as needed for specific software, hardware, or project needs relating to network infrastructure
Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
Oversee projects related to areas of responsibility
Assist with some onsite tech support (minimal travel)
Other duties as assigned
Implementing and documenting disaster recovery procedures
Work on a rotating on-call schedule to help address issues that occur after hours and on weekends
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and Cisco switches preferred.
Familiarity with Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki and Fortinet firewalls preferred
5+ years configuring and administering firewalls and switches
2+ years administering and configuring SDWAN
Experience implementing and testing a Disaster Recovery Plan
Familiarity with Network Monitoring tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to lead and take on new tasks as needed
Understanding of ISO 27001 a plus
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Conduct business in a professional manner and follows all company policies and procedures
Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $127,500. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
