L3 Support Engineer:

Responsibilities

Design, install, configure, document and maintain internal network infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and repair network-related problems collaborating with IT operations team, third parties and key stakeholders.

Ensure that network links and equipment are properly monitored and that alerts are addressed in a timely manner.

Collaborate with IT and Information Security to establish, monitor and enforce network access policies.

Create and satisfy stringent SLAs associated with Internet Connectivity, Wide Area Network, VPN Connectivity, and Wireless Connectivity.

Set up, configure, and test Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Call Manager Express, Unity Express, Cisco LAN switches (core, distribution and access), Cisco firewalls, routers and voice gateways, etc.

Perform client consultation: plan, design, implement, and support the voice infrastructure

Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions

Create, maintain and improve documents supporting IT network processes and procedures.

Plan, test and respond to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery events.

Actively participate in scheduled Off-Hour Operations, Weekend Work and On-Call Rotation Shifts to provide 24 x 7 support.

Implementation and Troubleshooting of, Multi-layer switches, ISR/ASR routers and wireless networks

Implementation and Troubleshooting of, WAN Optimizers, Load Balancers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP and VPN Gateways

Implementation and Troubleshooting of monitoring tools like Solarwinds

Maintaining Documentation Creating and maintaining SOPs/CMDBs/KEDBs/Run Books

IT Service Management Good understanding of ITIL best practices

Monitoring Tools - Integration of Network monitoring tools (e.g. Solarwinds ) with ITSM dashboards (preferably ServiceNow)

IT Service Management Good understanding of ITIL best practices and SLAs

Identity and Access Management Implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco ACS, Cisco ISE, BYoD, Network Admission control

Qualifications:

8+ years experience as an IT Network Engineer.

High level of proficiency in the following routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.

Expert level knowledge with Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.

Expert level understanding of TCP/IP, including; DNS and DHCP.

Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment.

Experience in Cisco PBX and/or Call Center systems engineering experience

Experience with router configuration, knowledge of voice mail, unified messaging, ACD and IVR systems

Strong performance tuning (QoS) and capacity planning, traffic analyzation experience.

Experience with monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds

Working Knowledge of wireless technology using Ruckus or equivalent service provider

Proven track record identifying and championing appropriate new technologies; ability to quickly adapt changes

A self-starter who can prioritize work in a fast-paced and dynamic tech environment.

A team player who can collaborate across all departments and with all levels.

Must possess good analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills

Experience at multinational corporation dealing with network service providers

Professional level Cisco Networks Data/Voice certification (e.g. CCNP, CCNA, CCVP, CCDP or CCIE)

Ability to design and implement LAN/WAN using MPLS or Metro Ethernet

We have an exciting opportunity for the Responsible Level 3 NDT Quality Engineer in our Product Quality Assurance group at General Atomics - ASI. Under general supervision with limited review, this position is responsible for performing the Responsible Level 3 NDT directives. Responsible for developing and maintaining of the Company's NDT Program including the oversight, training, and certification and testing of GA-ASI NDT personnel. Additionally, the candidate will participate in determining and developing effective approaches for resolving a wide range of difficult Material and Mechanical problems focusing on NDT of production parts and on failure analysis of parts in service. Working within the Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) Department to investigate using various NDT methods such as Microscopy, Ultrasonic, Radiography, Shearography, Penetrant, Electromagnetics and exemplar Mock-ups to discover and document findings, communicate results to Quality Assurance and Engineering staff and makes technical presentations as required. May coordinate segments of a specific project and may have frequent inter-organization and customer contact on difficult technical issues. This position requires a self-starting, hands-on person to work with engineers and technicians to solve design, production and field support issues. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop, maintain and administer the NDT program plan. * Support engineering fracture/failure investigations. * Support hands-on investigations including NDT, dissecting parts, preparing samples for analysis, interpreting the results, documenting and presenting the findings in a timely fashion. * Determine Root Cause of failure on various reported field failures of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and components. * Collects and interprets data to support the appropriate corrective action recommendations. * Utilize, Troubleshoot and maintain test systems and instruments for nondestructive inspection (NDI). * Evaluate and advise design engineers about their drawings for appropriate NDI of products at various stages of production on machined, formed and welded components. * Advise on appropriate drawing information applied to welded joints in accordance with AWS D17.1 specifications. * Maintains and administers personnel qualification plan for NDI in accordance with the NDT program plan * Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required. * May represent the organization in providing solutions to designers, drawing specifications or technical issues associated with specific projects or programs. * Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. * Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
