Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract
Function and Scope
Support and configure network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, WLANs, SANs and other associated equipment.
Oversee the installation, configuration and support for all infrastructure systems.
Extensive experience and strong understanding in network architectures, configuration and administration of CISCO networking technology to include switches, routers, IP protocols, and Wireless.
Knowledge of Windows servers to include domain controllers and Active Directory.
Knowledge of VMware, VCenter, VMotion.
Other duties as assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts, including TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, VLANs, LDAP, firewalls and load balancers.
Extensive experience working with Windows and Linux servers including server virtualization and replication.
Solid understanding of server/network hardware, SAN and NAS principles, and storage
Ability to integrate complex hardware and software systems.
Demonstrate the ability to perform hands-on configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, servers and workstations.
Experience designing, documenting and the installation of large scale wireless networks and supporting infrastructure.
Ability to perform advanced packet/protocol analysis throughout the seven layer OSI reference model
Demonstrated ability working with the following key technologies and concepts
Microsoft Windows 2012/2016
Hardware Virtualization Cisco UCS
Industry Certificates (Cisco, F5, Linux, Microsoft) ideally CCNA, CCNP
Bachelors degree in information systems.
