Job Details

Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

  • Assists with planning, installing, and maintaining of networking systems to support video conference systems including video conference endpoints, bridge systems, control software and audiovisual hardware and provides monitoring and technical support to resolve complex video conference issues that occur at any site.

  • Lead the installation, administration and support of network systems and services (routing, switching, firewalls, and intrusion detection) in a heterogeneous environment, including a highly available Internet service delivery across multiple data centers and sites.

  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network infrastructure hardware and software including routers, switches, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, wireless, telephony, telepresence, video, mobile computing, manufacturing site IT network devices and related equipment.

  • Plan for equipment replacements and upgrades, and works with colleagues at other Haemonetics sites to ensure consistency and interoperability of systems.

  • Address problems and issues that have impacts on online services for business units.

  • Develop and manage appropriate infrastructure network documentation, including operational and maintenance instructions either directly or through service providers.

  • Define, document and maintain operational standards and procedures related to the network infrastructure.

  • Direct and manage day to day network operations, enhancements and renewal providing 24/7/365 support with a focus on creating an extraordinary end user experience.

  • Implement and manage global change control with 100% coverage of all devices and configurations managed by Enterprise IT.

  • Verify correct configuration and installation of systems and components to meet security requirements as defined by the IT security officer and industry best practices.

  • Provide off hours support for maintenance and scheduled shutdowns as required.

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of network solutions to measure performance against business SLAs or internally established objectives.

  • Work with third-party vendors in support of the network infrastructure services, driving continuous improvement and SLA/OLA management.

We value your perspective. SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the voice data and network infrastructure. Primary responsibilities include network architecture and security, monitoring and intrusion prevention, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning and monitoring of all network performance activities. This position routinely configures and maintains physical and logical network components, and works closely with other team members and departments but also works independently in solving technical integration issues, outages and security risks. RESPONSIBILITIES: * IT infrastructure including approximately: * 50 enterprise switches & 2 routers * 135 wireless access points * 120 virtualized servers * 10-12 physical servers * 120TB enterprise storage * Active Directory with: * 450 desktop computers (Windows/Mac OS) * 700 users * Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server OS * 4-6 major projects per year, or as strategy/priorities dictate * Occasional off-hours work as required * Participate in monthly maintenance nights WORK SCHEDULE: This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors of Science or Arts degree. * Five (5) or more years of network engineering and systems administration experience * Experience with network traffic analysis and troubleshooting * Experience with Cisco routing and switching * Experience with SIEM and log management * Experience with firewalls and intrusion prevention systems * Experience managing medium to large projects * Experience in developing technical solutions both independently and in a team solving environment * Experience interacting with departments/end users having varying skill sets * Experience segmenting networks * Experience with vendor relations * Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in the following areas: * Network administration: * TCP/IP networking and related protocols * Cisco ASA firewalls and Firepower IPS * Cisco IOS-based switches and routers * Converged communications administration (Telephone & Call Center) * Museum core technology standards (at least 4): * Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or newer operating systems * Cisco/Meraki wireless * VMware ESX virtual environments * Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards * Enterprise class storage solutions (Isilon, VxRail, cloud based platforms) STARTING SALARY: Exempt (Salaried).
