At COUNTRY Financial, our Senior Network Engineer ensures the planning, selection, build, and maintenance of high quality technology solutions that meet defined and emerging business capability needs in a cost effective way. Focuses on building and implementing automation solutions for provisioning services around core network infrastructure including WAN/LAN technologies. Analyzes existing provisioning processes and seeks opportunities to gain efficiencies through the use of automation. Partners with IT Security Analysts and Enterprise Architects to establish, understand, and adhere to technical and IT security standards. Involved in all aspects of the technology lifecycle to ensure that non-functional and functional requirements are adhered to in design and build so solutions are agile, stable, secure, resilient, and perform well. Ensures that systems are maintained and supported to run effectively in production.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, implement, and support COUNTRY's IT solutions.

  • Ensure IT solutions meet requirements for security, availability, capacity, resiliency, and performance in a way that is efficient and supportable, reducing overall support costs.

  • Understand industry leading solutions and trends for assigned technologies and applying those as appropriate for COUNTRY.

  • Understand business needs and partnering with appropriate IT counterparts to recommend technology solutions.

  • Establish and maintain an IT multi-year strategy with a focus on continuous improvement. Create and maintain solutions architecture artifacts and other strategy and system documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco WAN/LAN experience.

  • F5 Load Balancer experience.

  • Router/Switch hardware design and provisioning experience.

  • Wireless Controller experience.

  • Cisco Vulnerability Management experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts and topology.

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in information technology OR,

  • Master's degree and at least 6 years of experience in information technology OR,

  • At least 10 years of experience in information technology.

  • At least 1 year lead experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.

  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate. #LI-AH1

As a Senior Manager Duties our responsibilities will include managing and scheduling multiple projects, balancing workload of engineers on team (and other domestic teams for overflow support), effectively coordinating with Planning and Program Management organizations, executive levelpresenting and read-outs; employee performance management & reviews and special green-belt level initiatives.Manage a team of highly capable equipment engineers responsible for engineering the Domestic US FiOS Video, Intelligent Edge Network (iEN), Unified Transport, Voice and Data Core networks. Candidate will lead the team in the issuance and managing of TEOs (Telephone Equipment Order) throughout each project's lifecycle – building the technologies associated with Verizon's Core Inside Plant networks including: Multi-Service Edge (MSE), ROADM, Voice Over IP, and the supporting host of network ancillary and infrastructure equipment. Candidate will also lead, direct and guide the team as they: * Engineer detailed, often complex, network builds for new and existing technologies and order equipment/cables/hardware. * Coordinate/project manages project specific installation designs and physical installations. * Engineer/manage database (ICON, CoFEE, CCP, etc) updates, equipment configurations, card/port assignments/requirements, power mapping, cable running lists, floor space and rack placement, and detailed Bill of Material (BOM). * Interface with Operations and other Implementation organizations to obtain critical pre-engineering information, site specific data as well as redlines and other end of job information. Insure that all engineering documentation (including ICON, Venue and CoFEE) is accurate and up-to-date for use by Install, Test, Implementation, Operations, Provisioning, and Planning, Network Capacity Management, and Audit groups. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Six or more years of relevant work experience. Even better if you have: * A degree. * Experience in Telecom Engineering and Network Implementation. * Leadership, self-starter with strong management and organizational skills. * Highly organized and able to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion. * Knowledge of telecom networking, IP networks and technologies, equipment designs and configuration procedures, and inventory. * Strong technical and project management skills as well as excellent PC and software application skills including Windows and MS Office. * Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications. * Strong track record of leadership and management. * Engineering, Planning, and/or Ops knowledge, especially with Verizon IP Networks. * Past experience with ICON, SiteVU, Venue, CCP, CoFEE, and SRM as well as expense and/or capital budgets.
