Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide networking support to the Regional Network Enterprise Center Central - Redstone (RNECC-R). Must possess a demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and supporting large application software systems. The candidate must possess excellent project management skills, and the ability to handle day to day management of multiple applications.
Responsible for maintaining customer infrastructure including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, VPN technology, load balancing systems, enterprise wireless and several network management solutions. Accountable to provide network designs, problem determination and resolution, document methodologies, thorough knowledge of network management, develop and support security models, execute hardware and software installations, performance tuning and recovery.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain specialized skills in enterprise data center design standards, communications technology best practices and security processes.
Perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues.
Communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences.
Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site features and functions.
This opportunity is contingent on contract award to STS.
Experience with routing and switching from both a Cisco and Brocade perspective to include the Cisco Nexus Series
Experience with firewalls and VPN Concentrators such as Cisco ASA.
Experience with other networking hardware such as F5, Juniper and Riverbed.
Experience with monitoring solutions and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, NetScout, etc

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and qualifications:
Required: Minimum ten (10) years' experience on similar project or program
Preferred: Experience at Regional Network Enterprise Center- Redstone Arsenal for similar mission or projects
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
Preferred: Master Degree
Required: IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP, CCNA Security, etc.)
Preferred: Any relevant cyber languages/skills
