This is a non-negotiable requirement from the Client.Required: • Availability to work at the Client’s site in Fort Lauderdale, FL (required); • Experience in installing, configuring, and managing data networking and client/server systems (3+ years); • Experience performing backups, restoring data, and maintaining server logs (3+ years); • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software problems in networking environments (3+ years); • Experience in managing projects and handling complex assignments; • Experience providing end-user support and instruction for network systems and associated applications/hardware (3+ years); • Experience in writing technical documentation and instructions for end users.Preferred: • Experience with Linux system administration; • Experience with Specific Software: Knowledge of Sun PRO, Telestaff, and Citrix; • Experience monitoring and maintaining network security and software performance; • Experience analyzing workflow processes and developing recommendations for improvements using automated systems; • Experience performing third-level troubleshooting to support the Help Desk function; • Experience providing lead worker coordination and supervision to technical staff; • Certifications: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).Responsibilities: • Monitor the computer network environment, support network administration, perform configuration, maintenance, and repair, and ensure records of network performance and downtime are properly maintained; • Install, configure, and manage complex data networking and client/server systems and associated software; • Perform network backups and restoration of data; maintain logs concerning network activity; • Provide instruction to end users in the maintenance and use of network systems and associated applications/hardware; identify and resolve software-related issues; • Write technical documentation outlining end-user instructions and post instructions for reference; • Manage projects related to network systems installations and upgrades, including the development of specifications for new equipment requirements; • Lead problem-solving efforts applicable to areas of expertise, provide third-level troubleshooting support, and coordinate with other support staff and vendors as needed.
