High School DiplomaJob DescriptionField of Study: Computer Science / Engineering – Information Technology JobDescription: Provide overall network engineering support. Coordinate implementation and maintenance of networking components and project integration laboratories. Interface as necessary with vendors to resolve system configurations, integration problems, and other issues. Involves comprehensive knowledge of this technical field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules of all activities involved in the reporting, management and task development and its associated documentation of all contracts.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide C3PED/UCS System Support to include but not limited to user account creations, equipment configurations such as VOIP, DVTC and Room Based systems. Maintain system operations, initiate troubleshooting and resolution of system issues and/or network issues.
· Perform system monitoring and system operation resolution using SNMP and TRAP messaging from system reporting agents.
· Maintain system backups of servers and user databases.
· Provides assistance with analyzing, identifying and resolving issues effecting network functionality and connectivity using Cisco Network Assistant or Cisco CLI from IOS.
· Assist with maintaining IA site accreditation including running scans on equipment, mitigating issues with the IA scans.
· Monitor IAVA, CVE and vendor security bulletins and intiate remediations per DOD standards.
· Maintain software and updates as required ie. antivirus software, patches, firmware updates
· Interface with C3PED/UCS Engineering on any issue outside of skill-set / capability
· Maintain accurate inventory lists of C3PED equipmentRequired Qualifications (Essential Functions of job):
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating as a Network Administrator in a Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, or other leading vendor product line-based environments. A knowledge base consisting of expertise in virtual computing/networking and/or Unified Communications is preferred.
• Ability to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task among several projects while being detail-oriented. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship.
• Familiarity with Cisco Voice Systems to include CallManager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Instant Messeging and Presence and Telepresence technologies, VMware Products to include VMware ESXi Hypervisors, vSphere and vCenter Operations
• Familiarity with the following operating systems: Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 /2016 and CentOS
• A strong background in Windows Server Active directory, DNS forward and reverse look ups, DHCP, Network Policy Servers, Group Policy Objects, Two Way Domain Trusts and User Data Service.
• Security+ knowledge of Project Management concepts, techniques and methodologies.
• Confident, collaborative and goal-oriented demeanor with strong customer focused mindset.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with sponsors, customers and end users.
• Ability to work independently within a small company environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written; capable of extracting key information and communicating in concise, easy-to-understand messages. • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task among several assignments, maintaining schedules, status reports and all other required documentation.
