Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems, and provides overall level two support• Designs, installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems• Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks• Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLR requirements• Support the technical lead and be the authorized interface with Government technical leaders and government technical and operational management personnel • Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.• Balance use of cutting-edge innovative technologies with the resiliency and reliability required of mission-critical applications• Develop schedules and technology project plans, evaluate, and improve work quality and system performance • Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution• Trains users, maintains, creates, and deletes user accounts• Assists in identifying and monitoring technical risks and assuring plans are in place to mitigate risks before they become issues• Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms• Provide government personnel solution progress, project updates and other technical contract-related concerns  • Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards. Enforces network security procedures

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret/SCI • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)• Possess DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Baseline Certification• Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate• Must posses an active, OR have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date, an ITIL Foundations Certification

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
