Assists in the planning and design and also implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators# and switches. Conducts feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, design of digital/analog networks, and evaluation of network services/technology for current and future network development. Performs complex technical# analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems



Responsibilities:


Accountable for the day-to-day operations, support and management of the information networks that support the business of Tufts Medical Center IS. Conducts analysis, prepares reports, and works on project implementations.

Defines network business requirements and implements effective campus network strategies. Ensures that network solutions are secure and maximizes the sharing of applications, information, and resources across the hospital. Coordinates with multiple vendors/departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services.

Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues. Contributes to technical roadmap and technical support policies based on hospital business need. Works with the Network Manager and Chief Solution Architect to evaluate emerging network technologies.

Schedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility# of all communications and computer hardware/software. Provides ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding health of the environment, enhancements, innovations and secure network solutions. Monitors network to ensure its availability. Creates and maintains network documentation Provides 24 by 7 rotating on-call support



Requirements:


Bachelor#s degree or equivalent required. # ITIL certification preferred. 6+ years of relevant work experience required. Advanced testing and analytical skills as they relate to network elements.

Ability to establish network priorities as they relate to the hospital#s connectivity requirements Ability to understand the hospital business and criticality of network availability on patient care. Advanced network troubleshooting skills. Creative thinking for network solutions within IS projects.

Advanced understanding of WAN/LAN internetworking design elements, protocol interoperability, network architecture development, and requirements for testing/proof# of concept. Mentoring and instruction of lower skilled level network resources. Organizational ability to assemble data, prepare reports, monitor progress, and analyze data.

Ability to use protocol analyzers and network test equipment. Presentation and communication skills to effectively present ideas and results.

Your Key Responsibilities Stantec Water is currently looking for a Senior Engineer with strong experience in water resources for municipal combined, stormwater and sanitary collection systems. Candidates for this position should be prepared to: * Provide engineering understanding to planning, analysis, permitting, design, and implementation of municipal stormwater and / or sanitary system projects. Tasks will focus on mathematical modeling of collection systems and preparation of planning or design drawings and reports. * Lead tasks and local teams to develop, calibrate and apply computer hydraulic models for the analysis of collection systems. * Use results from hydraulic modeling tasks to reach conclusions regarding the capacity and hydraulic performance of collection systems. * Develop conceptual level plans for municipal civil and utility projects. * Effectively organize, document, communicate, and present information summarizing technical analyses performed and findings or recommendations developed (both verbally and in writing). * Work collaboratively and enthusiastically as a key member of small or large teams to successfully deliver quality projects on schedule and within budget. * Efficiently use of engineering planning software tools, including features of InfoWorks, ArcMap and Excel, to analyze data, develop hydraulic models and communicate with clients. * Support efforts to identify, pursue, and win hydraulic modeling and master planning projects. Your Capabilities and Credentials * Working knowledge of industry recognized software used for hydraulic analysis of collection systems. * Knowledge of project management skills related to preparation and management of scopes of service, budgets, and schedules. * Professional Engineering License or able to obtain within 6 months. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education and Experience * Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering * 10 or more years' experience in the planning and design of municipal stormwater / sanitary collection system projects. Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
