Senior Netsuite Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior NetSuite Engineer plays a pivotal role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect, develop, and implement NetSuite solutions and integrations across the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of both IT principles and business operations. The Senior NetSuite Engineer will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, defining integration requirements, and contributing to the prioritization of initiatives. Leveraging expertise in NetSuite and other business applications, this role focuses on crafting innovative solutions to enhance business efficiency under the direction of the CIO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary technical resource for gathering business and technical requirements, leading the design, development, testing, and implementation of NetSuite solutions.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of NetSuite capabilities, staying abreast of key features and designs relevant to business needs.

• Collaborate with NetSuite business subject matter experts to ensure alignment between business process design and organizational objectives.

• Lead efforts in report writing and analytics to address business requirements.

• Analyze system processes in relation to business operations, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities, and recommending effective solutions.

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system issues and open items to ensure timely resolution.

• Develop and deploy custom fields, forms, reports, workflows, scripts, and system integrations as needed to support business objectives.

• Lead or support projects as they arise, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and scope.

• Evaluate and deploy new releases of the NetSuite system, assessing their impact on existing configurations and integrations.

• Serve as a primary administrator and subject matter expert for the NetSuite system, ensuring database integrity and security.

• Assist in the maintenance and integration of other business applications with NetSuite.

• Document business requirements, system specifications, and processes to ensure clear communication and knowledge sharing.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required

• 8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on software engineering and system integration

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in the technical management of the NetSuite platform, including proficiency in script development, workflows, CSV imports, and reporting

• proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant programming languages

• Strong NetSuite development experience, including configuration, customization, integration, and reporting

• NetSuite developer certifications preferred

• Ability in managing multiple tasks to meet business needs, adept at navigating obstacles to ensure successful completion

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong collaboration and liaison abilities

• Experience in project management, system implementation, and system integration preferred

• Remote or hybrid, with preference for hybrid
