Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced .Net software developer to join our Commerce Software team. This team takes pride in creative problem solving, innovation through collaboration, and using some of the coolest technology available.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Developing high-quality features and functionality using the very latest developer tooling for our internal and external websites and applications running on the Microsoft stack including ASP.NET, Web Services, and SQL Server, covering all aspects of the business.

  • Participating in problem analysis with business users, BA's and architects to assist in determining software solutions and enhancements.

  • Enhancing our order management, E-Commerce, CRM, and intranet manufacturing applications.

  • Providing maintenance break/fix support for the company websites and triage support issues to other areas of development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of related .NET development work experience.

  • Proficient in C#, .NET Core, MS-SQL, HTML.

  • Experience with multiple .NET patterns and platform technologies like C#, ASP.NET sites, web services, SOA, or MVC.

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js.

  • Experience with Docker a plus

  • Desired experience utilizing agile software practices or working in an agile environment using:

  • scrum software development practices

  • automated unit testing

  • continuous integration

  • code reviews

  • version control systems (e.g. Git, Subversion or Mercurial)

  • Strong communication skills and work ethic

  • Demonstrated history of staying current on best practices in technology

Education Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

The Senior Business Continuous Improvement Specialist will work with various functions, predominantly in transactional areas outside of manufacturing, to drive operational excellence. The role will work directly with cross functional teams to solve problems and implement improvements that result in speed, efficiency, improved quality, improved service levels, and capacity gains. This position partners with all functions to train, coach, facilitate, and ensure that project teams produce sustainable improvements. The role will rely on both technical continuous improvement skills and soft skills to collaborate, partner, and influence stakeholders to convert clear recommendations into effectively implemented improvements with positive business impact. Specific Duties Include: * Passionately drive ProtoExcellence visibility and awareness across the business * Lead and/or Mentor Process Improvement projects as assigned throughout various functions, predominantly in transactional environments. Working with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to assist in evaluating and eliminating waste to better serve the customer. * Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events * Build and maintain key relationships with leaders and process players throughout the organization * Gain stakeholder alignment and commitment throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and execute a sustainment strategy as part of the project implementation * Serve as a catalyst for a ProtoExcellence culture of continuous improvement through the use of Lean philosophies and practices, as well as change management and project management approaches * Train, coach and mentor others in ProtoExcellence methodologies. Including flow creation, visual management, root cause analysis, problem solving, actions to prevent recurrence, standard work and follow-up. Viewed as an expert in these areas and conveys knowledge and confidence when engaging others * Share best practices and build relationships with ProtoExcellence resources at all facilities * Utilize data driven, fact based analytics to perform these services as needed across all functional areas to solve problems and replicate successful solutions Minimum Qualifications: * 5+ years of relevant professional continuous improvement experience, including significant experience with transactional areas outside of manufacturing. * Extensive knowledge & experience working with Lean continuous improvement and problem-solving tools and techniques. * Experience facilitating Kaizen Events * Proven track record of success in similar role(s), * Lean Certification (Lean, BB, MBB) * Experience teaching and training others * Experience leading cross-functional teams * Competency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Deep understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement/Problem Solving methodologies and ability to teach and model them. * Have strong bias for action, while proving the ability to inspire others. * Driven self-starter, motivated by helping others to achieve deliverables. * Ability to adapt style to coach and mentor a wide variety of individuals and further develop teams. * Ability to understand and constructively challenge current practice in the search for continuous improvement. * Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail, and follow thorough. * Ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal * Proficient with applying statistical tools to data analysis * Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment * Strong written and oral communication skills: able to communicate complex information to all levels of the organization, and able to prepare data to be presented * Ability to quickly develop trust through stakeholder interviews, site level actions and interactions * Respond to a variety of new situations, be a positive influence on others and deal well with set-backs. * Curious, self-motivated learner * Positive change agent * Conflict resolution skills Preferred Qualifications: * Change Management Certification or experience executing change management models Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline All Proto Labs facilities in the United States are ITAR-compliant operations.
