Organizational Overview

While working at DST Financial Services, you will help our clients discover opportunities in the complexities associated with mounting inflows of data, rapid technological advancements, shifting regulatory change, rising security risks and increasing demands from their customers. Your job is to help our clients discover opportunity through technology, strategic advisory and business improvement solutions. You will work with some of the world's leading Alternative Asset Managers, Asset Management Service Companies, Banking Companies, Broker-Dealers, Distribution Companies, Insurance Companies and Retirement Companies. Role Overview

As the Senior .NET Developer, you will analyze, design, program, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as financial management, mobile apps or desktop applications products. Using current programming languages and technologies, leveraging BDD (Behavior Drive Development)/TDD (Test Driven Development) methodologies the Senior Developer will write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications.

The team will look to you as a leader and subject matter expert and you will be tasked with completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. You may interact with users and/or clients to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Working within a team environment you will build new systems with .NET 4.0 4.6 / ASP.NET / C# / SQL Server 2008 R2 - 2016 / WCF Web Services / WCF Data Services / Microsoft.Net Workflow (WF) / LINQ / MVC .NET / WebAPI

  • Maintain and add features to existing systems/products with .NET 4.0 4.6 / ASP.NET / C# / SQL Server 2008-2016 / ASP.Net Web Services / MVC .NET / WebAPI

  • Work in a multi-tiered multi-tenant architected environment

  • Acting as a leader within the group you will mentor developers and share knowledge through knowledge-sharing presentations.

  • Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.

  • Developer may take on additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 year's experience as a developer (lead developer would be a plus).

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).

  • Understanding of the Waterfall and Agile Software Development methods.

  • Deep knowledge of the .NET 4.0/4.6 Framework, including Visual Studio 2012/2013, C#, ASP.NET, ASMX and WCF Web Services, MVC, and ADO.NET.

  • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.

  • Experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).

  • Ability to design and optimize SQL Server 2008/2012 stored procedures.

  • Experience with Angular, JQuery, AJAX is a requirement (CSS, Javascript libraries, knockout.js)

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.

  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.

  • Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices while leading and mentoring a team of developers.
