Competitive Basic Salary & Bonus Scheme, plus Car Allowance Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior National Account Manager to join our sales team and manage a portfolio of some of the largest Food-to-Go businesses in today’s market. Previous account management experience within the Food and/or Distribution Sector is an essential requirement for this role, as you will manage and develop the said portfolio, onboard new clients, and maximise any development opportunities to grow sales value and margin.
Accountabilities: Maximise commercial opportunities within existing clients. Accurately forecast customer demand on product variety and volume. Identify commercial opportunities, based on data and statistical analysis.
Provide innovative solutions to customers. Deliver a responsive and customer-oriented service while ensuring the commercial well-being. Ensure that customers see Reynolds as their trusted “Go to Solution”. Provide business reporting internally and to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
Deliver agreed budgeted targets (NSV, £GP and volume) within agreed frameworks. Design and execute strategic developments within existing customers through menu development, product promotions or unit penetration. Calculate and understand the key commercial metrics (profit per drop, margin per case, ADV, ADF, and account profitability) and provide potential options to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Identify, plan, develop and review short, medium and long-term goals for each account with detailed pathways to each target via a joint business plan. In collaboration with the other Reynolds central functions (Procurement / Development / Marketing /Operations / Finance), target and convert win-win opportunities to enhance the Reynolds customer experience. Prepare and present business proposals; conduct structured, objective-led customer meetings; ensure follow-up actions are delivered within agreed timeframes.
To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience: Previous account management responsibility within the Food and/or Distribution Sector. Previous account management responsibility of multi-site food operators.
Demonstrable knowledge of fresh food and ingredients. Excellent presentation skills. Practical understanding of Microsoft Office in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong relationship builder, dealing with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience of working in a people-focused environment both face to face and on the telephone.
