MedMen is currently seeking a talented Senior Motion Graphic Designer, with editing and compositing experience, to join its growing in-house creative team. This role reports to the VP Creative and will be responsible for creating dynamic expressions of MedMen's creative output through motion. The Senior Motion Graphic Designer will partner with social content, campaign, and digital directors to ensure that MedMen's POV is on brand and current with emerging motion and media trends. Our ideal candidate must display a deep understanding of current best practices in digital marketing and communication, be well versed in current ux/ui practices and digital design and possesses a deep curiosity and enthusiasm for new media. He/she must understand and support cannabis culture, champion MM's place as an industry leader, and understand MM's role in shaping the dialogue around Cannabis consumption.

Partner with internal content and design directors to ensure that MedMen's photography and media standards are on-brand and industry leading
Work closely with VP of creative to ensure that the quality of work evolves with the emergence of new media platforms
Participate / lead brainstorming sessions and workshops designed toward educating the creative department on new mediums and design possibilities
Support Social, Campaign, and Digital Design silos with creative output and influence that positions MedMen as the design leader in Cannabis
Act as the catalyst that mixes ideas, pushes concepts, and finds the best way to meet MedMen's needs with compelling, innovative concepts and executions
Understand and work within project parameters: Business unit goals and requirements, internal goals, public experience, technical constraints, as well as budget and schedule
Be a sponge for industry trends, sharing insights and inspiration with the various departments
Contribute leadership in terms of best practices, standard processes and experience to drive the company's capabilities forward
Creative skills: First and foremost, our Senior Motion Graphic Designer must be a great at collaborating with internal partners to make sure that our work is congruent with current trends in digital marketing and design.
Software skills: Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects and Premier Pro. Cinema 4d a bonus. Must have an understanding of, and an enthusiasm for, AR, VR, and 3D spatial rendering programs
Digital skills and acumen: Must possess advanced knowledge of digital design and production, and understand industry trends, and has deep knowledge of ux/ui best practices to ensure efficient collaboration with internal ux/ui team
Communication and presentation skills: They need excellent communication (written and verbal) and confident presentation skills in order to pitch ideas to directors and also explain their ideas to members of their creative team.
Interpersonal skills: Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. They need a clear creative vision while remaining open to others' ideas.
Leadership skills: Our Senior Motion Graphic Designer needs leadership skills in order to hire, develop and oversee their creative team of the future.
Required Education and Experience
An undergraduate degree in one or more of the following: digital design, advertising, marketing, fine arts, or a related subject is required. A postgraduate degree in these subjects can be an advantage.
Between 4-8 years' experience working in the advertising, marketing or design sectors.
An understanding of all aspects of client-focused brand and marketing creative, including brand development, social, digital, advertising, OOH, retail/POS, media and environmental / experiential design
Experience and skill to drive the development of new business and client review decks and various communication vehicles
Creative and strategy-driven POV in developing best-in-class integrated digital marketing campaigns and programs
Effective communicator and storyteller with ability to find the best approach to verbally and visually communicate an idea and articulately present it to other team members, clients, and agency partners
Excellent listening skills
Experience collaborating with a team of strategists, creatives, designers, producers, and account managers
Adept at multi-tasking while coordinating multiple projects and resources
Be able to roll up your sleeves and execute the work as well as be able to manage and inspire future direct reports as we continue to build our team
In the future this position will manage employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department in conjunction with human resources.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some overtime and weekend work is expected.
