Senior Merchant - Wholesale, Beyond Yoga

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Merchant, you are passionate about the wholesale customer experience and will be responsible for building product strategies for the wholesale market. You will manage all line plans and systems and work with your cross functional partners to drive impactful assortments that will excite our customers and enhance the brand. You are highly collaborative, product and consumer obsessed, and have a passion for the apparel industry. You will report to the Sr. Director of Merchandising.

About the Job

• Help grow Wholesale by supporting all buying and merchandising functions and providing business insights using analytics to achieve financial targets

• Lead the Wholesale buying and merchandising strategy, creating compelling assortments to achieve financial goals and meet customer demands

• Analyze sales on regular basis and work with brand merchandising, design, sales, retail, and planning teams to build Wholesale product strategies

• Stay connected with the Wholesale team to maintain a feedback loop around customer insights and staff observations

• Participate in design/merchandising product review meetings; attend key partner buy meetings; coordinate with Sales and Planning teams to be aware of Wholesale buys, product flows, and assortment plans

• Partner with planning to manage open-to-buy and inventory needs

• Prepare daily/weekly/quarterly reporting to aid in accurate seasonal plans and strategy creation, such as KPI weekly dashboard, top/bottom sellers, and quarterly business reviews

• Partner with Wholesale management and marketing teams to create product messaging for campaigns based on product buys and current data analytics

• Support and partner with marketing on photo shoots

• Keep a pulse on competitors to ensure industry agreement on categorization, promotions, trends

• Partner with teams across the organization including merchandising, design, planning, sales, global sourcing, marketing, finance, and operations

• Provide merchandise-related information, product knowledge to Customer service teams

About You

• 4-6 years experience in an omni-channel wholesale/merchandising/buying role

• Strong retail math and analytical skills; data manipulation

• Systems Knowledge: Intermediate/Advanced level Excel (can perform complex functions), PowerPoint, Google Systems, Shopify

• Knowledge in RLM, Asana, or Joor enterprise systems

• Experience in the Apparel Industry

• Merchandising, Marketing, Business degree or related discipline

The expected starting salary range for this role is $77,300-111,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
