Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Tustin, CA
Summary:Lead engineering team to develop new lines of hydraulic AC / DC circuit / power units.Design CAD models using SolidWorks adapting DFM/DFA methods.Issue engineering drawings by utilizing GD&T and accounting for fit, form & function.Develop Engineering Documents such as testing procedure, instruction, and reports.Design automatic tests, using PLC, electromechanical devices, and instruments.Engineering Competencies - Required
- Perform Solid Modeling, Drawing, and Develop Documentation
- SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D (Draft sight, Solid Edge 2D).
- Fluid Power Schematics.
- IEC Style Control Schematics.
- ASME Drawing Standards, ANSI Y14.X.
- Document project requirements, assumptions, calculations, and results.
- Document test, troubleshooting, and investigative findings.
- Familiarity with Fluid Power Standards (NFPA, IFPS, ISO, SAE).
- Perform Hydraulic Power Unit Testing.
- Manifold Design/Development/Production
- Perform Test Data Plotting/Presentation.
- Perform Test Equipment Development.
- Familiarity with Material Standards (ASTM).
- Familiarity with Coating Standards.
- Perform Test Actuator Force Analysis (statics/dynamics).
- Perform Test Component, Frame, Assembly Strength Analysis.
- Integrate sensing and electronic control functions with fluid power components and systems.
- Cite hands-on experience with fluid power components and systems.
