Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description Job Description Summary: Join a dynamic custom equipment automation machine manufacturer in a pivotal lead Mechanical Engineer role.

Bring your automation design talents and contribute to a forward-thinking leader in custom automation. Responsibilities: Will work extensively with customers throughout the development process (concept, design, delivery). Work on cross-functional teams through the entire machine development process. Ensure machines are designed and released to manufacturing on time and within budget.

Will be working exclusively with custom machinery. Travel to customer sites when necessary for project kickoff meetings or troubleshooting initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; related experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Should have at least 10 years of mechanical engineering / machine design experience. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, custom machine design, etc. Understanding of machine manufacturing processes (i.e. welding, conventional milling, 3D printing, etc.). Hands on experience in 3D CAD - Inventor preferred; Solidworks will be considered.

Should be competent in AutoCAD 2D as well. Experience troubleshooting and debugging capital equipment. Salary : $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience Benefits : Full benefits package including: medical/dental/life/paid time off
